Aaron Brooks is Drake

My deep analysis for the day: an observation I had previously made while listening to the above song was reinforced during tonight’s game – Aaron Brooks is Drake.  Both are immensely talented entertainers who emphasize areas of weakness due to “mold” while suppressing their true natural abilities.

Drake should stick to singing (like in the above clip) where I feel he could be one of the R&B greats and refrain from ever again rapping.  I don’t like Drake’s rap.  As a singer, I can’t think of anyone I’d rather have on a hook right now (ie: “and we gonna be alright if we put Drake on every hook.”)

Aaron Brooks is a scorer.  He’s far better if given the green light rather than needing to conform to some definition of ‘point guard’ due to his height.  Aaron Brooks is not a playmaker.  I would still look to deal him, but if he’s retained, it’s clear AB is best used in the Jason Terry – Vinnie Johnson role.

Yes, this was not my most intellectually shattering analogy.  But I insist.  AB is Jason Terry.  More importantly, Drake is not a rapper but a singer.

What say you, friends?
