I can’t quite understand this notion that Tracy “went behind the team’s back” that detractors cite as sufficient cause for their hatred. It’s curious, most especially in light of the growing number of athletes whose careers/bodies have been destroyed by bad medical advice doled in the interests of the team. It makes little sense to hold a rational selfish choice against a man and, conversely, not even bat an eye as organizations discard players like old shoes when deemed convenient.
