@  majik19 : (21 November 2015 - 02:31 AM) our team is just embarassing
@  cointurtlemoose : (19 November 2015 - 07:11 AM) That was the most Corey Brewer thing I have ever seen
@  majik19 : (19 November 2015 - 04:20 AM) how the hell did that happen? maybe just switching from McHale to JB will change our bad luck...
@  Willk : (19 November 2015 - 03:58 AM) in my face
@  bboley24 : (19 November 2015 - 03:55 AM) So that just happened
@  Cooper : (19 November 2015 - 03:53 AM) got the win
@  Willk : (19 November 2015 - 02:06 AM) fire McHale! playing like crap again
@  SadLakerFan : (18 November 2015 - 06:21 PM) It's unfair, but it's the right move because it's the only move major move they had available to them. But, it seems just a tad premature - I wonder what was really said in the player meeting.
@  majik19 : (18 November 2015 - 06:03 PM) So much for building off continuity now that the core is in place... It's probably about time for another "Morey's Plan" article from Rahat.
@  txtdo1411 : (18 November 2015 - 05:26 PM) No problem. He definitely made it clear that changes will continue to be made until we are winning again.
@  cointurtlemoose : (18 November 2015 - 05:19 PM) Thanks for the link, txtdo; good words from Morey, I thought
@  cointurtlemoose : (18 November 2015 - 05:14 PM) Wow, I expected this 6 or 7 games from now if things didn't change... This seems a tad early. And they better have a replacement actually in mind and ready to hire, otherwise this seems like a misguided move
@  txtdo1411 : (18 November 2015 - 05:13 PM) Its going on right now.
@  txtdo1411 : (18 November 2015 - 05:13 PM) http://api.viglink.c...9&title=Rockets Press Conference 11am - ClutchFans&txt=http://www.khou.com/videos/news/loca...7/29/12651418/
@  slick shoes : (18 November 2015 - 05:12 PM) Anyone know where to listen in to the DM press conference?
@  DenverRocket : (18 November 2015 - 04:50 PM) Shocked too, but then again not. Something had to give. I can't see JB being given the reins f/t. Surely they have a contingency? Thibs?
@  txtdo1411 : (18 November 2015 - 04:48 PM) I wonder if the plan is to find a replacement fairly quickly, or to give JB a shot. I'm trying to understand how things would change, since JB has been in the locker room all year. The players are going to give him effort now just because McHale is gone?
@  majik19 : (18 November 2015 - 04:22 PM) just shocked. I feel like this is now a lost season. We were struggling under McHale, but do we really think J.B. can lead us to a championship?
@  thenit : (18 November 2015 - 04:19 PM) Its becoming a winner or becoming Melo, great scorer but not coachable
@  Mario Peña : (18 November 2015 - 04:14 PM) I'm disappointed in the players too. Here is Harden's chance, win a championship or get relegated to being considered a guy that can't get on the same page with a coach.

Royce White played well this game 3/26/13: http://www.youtube.c...v=0IpLvjM73LI#!

Talent is a terrible thing to waste.

agreed......talent is a terrible thing to waste. especially considering how many other players don't have the talent to make it into the league, but continue to try. royce is wasting the chance of a life time. the thing that really upsets me with him tho is his diva attitude. he has single handedly ruined any chance a player with his condition will even get consideration in the draft from this point on. that's the really sad part about this. royce has done more to set his cause back than advance it. in his childish and immature way he is making a joke of a really serious subject. I have accepted 1 fact to be real in this situation...............royce does have a few lose screws.

As long as he plays hard and becomes a guy who can help us win games, I won't even sweat the fact he has screws loose. Rodman and Artest have screws loose and both helped their respected teams win a championship. I'm not saying I have faith in Royce, I'm just saying his loose screws are not a huge concern for me. If we're lucky he eventually gets focused on honing his talents and ends up being the steal Morey was hoping he would be.

yeah, you have to keep things objective here, he's acting in a way that will not get him into the NBA even if he have Lebron talent, on the other end, he clearly has enough talent that if he keeps it at least manageable he should be of some use.

Some general observations watching him in the d league

    1. he has huge hands, and can really pass like a dream, that's well known to be his best attribute of course.

    2. he doesn't jump high when he doesn't have you, you can view that in 2 ways I guess, obviously negatively that seems lazy, positively though that might be a decent pacing thing and he seem to make fairly sound judgement on when he needs to elevate. but it's kinda rare these days to see guys play like that.

    3. his shooting mechanics seems sound, though the results have not been consistent yet. he even hit a 3 that game.

    4. at least in the dleague, he's clearly dominating on defense, when he and Jones were on the court Tulsa had no chance in the paint.

    5. he dribbles decently for a PF. not very fast though.

purely on a skillset POV, it is intriguing, and a uncommon mix. but obviously, it's pointless if he can't keep his head on his shoulder at least most of the time.

Royce White off bench for RGV last night: 28 pts, 9-16 FG, 9 reb, 6 ast, 4 stl, and a whopping +26. Nobody else on team was higher than a +7

True testimony of a guy who plays when he wants. We'd all agree we prefer him to have pedestrian numbers, but consistent ones.

no contract is unmovable(the joe Johnson deal proved that), but Royce is about as close as you can get to unmovable. trust me every nba team has been tuning in very closely while this situation has unfolded. no nba team is going to take on the headache situation without us giving them something in return that's makes it worth it to them(maybe try to add him as a throw in during another transaction). however we can put Royce on the trading block right now if we wanted to, but I doubt the phone will be ringing, as a matter of fact even if we call other teams we might get hung up on a lot of times

White by himself is pretty darn impossible to move haha, but he can always be packaged into a deal, like a bad expiring contract. I mean, his K doesn't have to be picked up after the end of next season lol.

true....very true. however they will still need to be persuaded to put up with the headaches until his contract falls off the books. now if we move him at the trade deadline they could release him immediately. that may be what morey is waiting for.

I'm just joking about a trade. I think Morey will keep rolling the dice with Royce at least until the guaranteed part of his contract ends (2014), if it comes up snake eyes so be it. But if we win we win a steal.

I'm not. we need to always keep 1 ear open in case some team out there is crazy enough to bite on a deal including Royce's contract. hoping that Royce will work out at this point is unrealistic. he has 1 more year in the league and his career is over. he has no one to blame for that but himself.

unrealistic........... to believe Royce will magically snap out of his condition and become a decent player in the league? even the optimist in me says this has almost on chance to occur. I got better odds of winning the lotto. even if Royce did suddenly get his crap together....would you trust him to become an asset to this team? I wouldn't. how long could he be trusted before he had another episode and flaked out on us again? so much has happened between Royce, the rockets, nba and nbapa that Royce has burned just about every bridge to a reasonable career......unrealistic.

It looks like Royce is getting in shape a little bit.  He moved well in the clips I saw.  What surprised me the most were his shot mechanics.  One fluid motion with his feet set... did his shot always look like that?  If he can get his jumper looking that good in such a short amount of time... that is really impressive.  The guy has talent, he most definitely does.

He's got anxiety about putting on a condom?
I wonder where all the Royce White defenders went............Apparently they are all busy being pregnant.

Royce white, the only NBA player who has more kids than the NBA games he played.

#5?? What more is going to come up?

apparently on Royce's last trip to the d-league he left a little something behind. rumor has it that a woman is pregnant with his 5th......that's right....his 5th child. I was on clutch fans today and I thought we were being hard on Royce, but they are on a whole different level when it comes to bashing him......I left a few of their comments above......enjoy

He tries hard to not acknowledge them, Karl Malone style. Cuts off communication w/ the mothers. What a loser.

Can Royce White be the next Lebron James?

      Think about it. Can he?
      White: 6'8 260
      James: 6'8 250

      Both have guard skills.
Other than a better jumpshot, Royce is pretty close. Also, he will have the advantage of having more access to Dream, Yao, McHale and CD. It's a good thing that he only really got one season of exposure.
Is it possible that we may have struck gold?

I just found that somewhere and thought I'd share it with everyone here. Now that's what you call unrealistic lol
