Good win tonight. Even though it was a close game, we almost lead it wire-to-wire. D-Mo and Cannan impresive once again, and we are in the semi-finals. Anyone has seen the hornets Summer League squad? I haven't so I don't know what are our chances against them.

OK, Bucko----I'm taking you at your word----Dmo's breakout year is coming (or did you imply it's coming in like the year 2020, I hope not!)
Well if it takes that long, I'll doubt he will still be in the NBA.

@Buckko
I don't agree with you on D-Mo. he is a soft defensively challenged standard European big man. many see the flashes of offensive explosion and point to potential, but until he learns to play tuff his ceiling is Bargnani to me. I was once high on him, but his failure to take a step forward in over two years has me questioning whether he will ever take a step.

From what I saw from him on defense towards the end of the season and his confidence in SL as resurrected hope for me.

not me................D-Mo has tore it up in SL before. not impressed. his play at the end of last year showed no improvement from what I have been seeing from him all along. we have been trying to beef him up for over two years now. while I agree he does look stronger, he still plays weak

That was Jones last summer league, Dmo didn't do too much. Towards the end of the season Dmo did improve his defense, especially his post defense. Another reason I was pissed at mchale, because even in foul trouble in the playoffs, he still didn't put Dmo in to guard LA at least for a couple minutes while LA destroyed jones with asik on the bench.

@Buckko
LMA would have eaten D-Mo for lunch that's why he didn't get in the game. while there maybe some creditability to your statement in the amount of D-League exposer both players have undergone, I think it's more telling that T-Jones came from that D-league stint and advanced in front of D-Mo with little problem. I also believe attitude plays a role. D-Mo is demanding playing time T-Jones is earning it.

You wouldn't have known if Dmo would get killed by LMA. LA at least wouldn't have been able to shoot over him like jones.

@Buckko
D-Mo's only use would have been the 6 fouls he could have provided while somebody rested. I agree we should have used those fouls, but it's not liked D-Mo earned playing time.

Aldridge shot over Asik...he shot over everyone--that's what he does. He's a legit 7 footer with a turn-around fade away jumper. Unstoppable if it's going in.
Don't watch this video
(Poor Terrence...he was so lost)

That was because mchale let LA get into such a rhythm from abusing jones earlier that not even the Turkish Hammer could stop him.

I will agree McHale should have instructed whoever played LMA to focus on not letting him catch the ball especially in his sweet spots. remember when you ask me one time what it is I see in him and I told you he is a 7 footer who can shoot and they are difficult to stop. that's why I like him. the only thing you can do is make it difficult for them to catch the ball because once they catch it they can easily get their shot off. we approached LMA with the wrong defensive strategy

So RBF, you talking about fronting LA like Yao?

Canaan took over the game again. Bill Simmons might have been right on draft night 2013, Canaan is defiantly an "Irrational Confidence" guy.
D-Mo played well again.

I was screaming at the tele every night for this. He probably wouldn't have stopped all that much, but at least wear LMA down a little while giving T-Jones/Asik a rest. Just be a pest in every way possible.

no not fronting him..........bodying up on him making him tired. pushing him out of his sweet spots.
every team needs a goon. what is a goon? some call them enforcers. it's someone who is going to play really physical, foul hard and basically make life miserable for his opponent. he doesn't care about fouls he won't be in the game long enough to foul out. his job is to knock a player out of his comfort zone
that's what we should have done to LMA. did you see how they were playing D-12? we should have given them a taste of their own medicine.

So I'm assuming that slot that says "To Be Announced" at 8PM on CSNH is the Rockets Summer League Tournament Final? I hope it is.
