The recent trade involving Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo from the New York Knicks to the Minnesota Timberwolves, which also included a first-round pick among other assets, in exchange for Karl-Anthony Towns has sent shockwaves through the NBA. Randle is approaching the final year of a four-year deal worth $117 million, which includes a player option for the 2025-26 season valued at $31 million. Last season, Randle had impressive averages of 24 points and 9.2 rebounds per game, earning him an All-Star title in New York.
