Boban Marjanovic is transitioning to a new phase in his basketball career, departing from the NBA.

Excel Sports informed NBA expert Marc Stein that Marjanovic will join Fenerbahçe in the BSL, Turkey’s premier basketball league.

Marjanovic, aged 36, has enjoyed a nine-season career in the NBA, playing for six different teams: the Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Clippers, Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, and Philadelphia 76ers. Throughout his 331 game career, he averaged 5.5 points and 3.6 rebounds, playing an average of 8.7 minutes per game.

Since entering the NBA in 2015, Marjanovic became well-loved for his vibrant personality and his imposing stature at 7’4″ tall with a 7’10” wingspan. He has appeared in the action movie John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum and the 2022 basketball film Hustle, which was produced by LeBron James and Adam Sandler.

Marjanovic concluded his NBA journey with the Rockets last season, participating in 14 games and scoring a total of 45 points. He is now set to return to the BSL, a league where he previously earned the MVP title for three consecutive years from 2013 to 2015.
