@  jorgeaam : (25 October 2015 - 06:41 PM) RIP Flip Saunders, sad day for basketball
@  YaoMan : (23 October 2015 - 04:49 PM) Zach Lowe seems to think the Rox are the biggest threat to GSW: http://grantland.com...-16-nba-season/
@  cointurtlemoose : (23 October 2015 - 04:36 PM) Hey if yall want a good podcast to listen to, find the Dunc'd On Basketball Podcast on Itunes, Rahat just did a Rockets preview with the host.
@  majik19 : (13 October 2015 - 09:09 PM) Apparently we claimed Arsalan Kazemi off waivers from the Hawks today... yet another undersized (6'7") power forward for Morey's cupboard.
@  Mario Peña : (10 October 2015 - 01:12 PM) If your part if the Red94 Fantasy Basketball League check the thread to vote for the date and time for the draft event. Thanks y'all!
@  jorgeaam : (07 October 2015 - 08:47 PM) Guys we need 1 more owner for the Red94 fantasy league, if interested please comment on the post in the fantasy basketball thread
@  slick shoes : (07 October 2015 - 06:50 PM) Kobe ranked one spot higher than Ariza? Is this based on legacy or...??
@  slick shoes : (07 October 2015 - 04:13 PM) It was hard to keep up with both the Astros and Rockets at the same time. Should be interesting on Thursday with the Texans and Astros on simultaneously.
@  Mario Peña : (07 October 2015 - 04:09 PM) It was fun to have the Rockets on last night! Right now I'm watching the Celtics versus Milan and Alessandro Gentile is impressive.
@  jorgeaam : (06 October 2015 - 07:47 PM) Well, thinking twice about it, I'd rather have him score less and have the team as a whole do better. Lawson should take a lot of his load off
@  jorgeaam : (06 October 2015 - 07:47 PM) Loving that, hope he hits 30 PPG this year
@  thejohnnygold : (06 October 2015 - 06:15 PM) Someone is feeling confident :) : LINK
@  jorgeaam : (06 October 2015 - 05:54 PM) 10 Teams done, will need 2 more
@  Mario Peña : (06 October 2015 - 02:35 PM) Alright guys, if anyone is interested in joining the Red94 fantasy basketball league we could use one more player to get us to 10 teams (or three to get us to 12 teams). Just check the thread in the Fantasy Basketball forum. Thanks!
@  thejohnnygold : (05 October 2015 - 06:23 PM) I use leaguepass here in Austin with no problems...
@  skip 2 my lou : (05 October 2015 - 03:14 PM) Hey fellas, I'm a rocket fan but I live in the heart of Dallas. Does anybody know if I buy NBA Leaguepass if it's too close to be subject to blackouts?
@  Losthief : (02 October 2015 - 02:24 AM) tks jg
@  thejohnnygold : (29 September 2015 - 05:16 AM) FYI, it was media day today. Interviews are up at NBA.com
@  slick shoes : (23 September 2015 - 06:37 PM) kind of late in the day but NBATV is broadcasting classis Rockets games all day today.
@  SadLakerFan : (16 September 2015 - 04:37 AM) Man, as a Laker fan, I'm learning how little you care about the off season when your team sucks. Anyway, a quick moment to remember Moses. Still remember watching the 81 team as a kid - losing record, NBA Finals. I would have cried w/joy if they could have beaten the Celtics.

Give me a break. Look at some of the posts flowing my responses. Don't act like I am the only one making such remarks. It's sad that I have to defend a coach that has done a great job for us this year against a bunch of unappreciative supposed rockets fans. Not to mention that the guy lost his daughter during the season so I'm sure his mind isn't always 100% on basketball. I will show respect to y'all when you show some respect for the man who is our coach and has done a great job.

The thing is you are defending McHale, instead of giving reasons why he is a good coach, you are giving examples of how he isn't terrible.  Please give legitimate reasons why you believe McHale is "great."

Also, EVERYBODY needs to settle down on the disrespectful posts.  If you want to argue, feel free to use the Message Center and talk as much crap to each other as you want, but keep it off the boards.

Acting trollish because I don't buy into your idiotic belief that McHale is a bad coach despite our record proving otherwise? That makes sense.

ok then show me some facts instead of insults. for every fact you give me as to why he is a good coach I can give you 2 why he is not. now lets see if you can backup your trash talking

Most of the agruments are respectful. Again, I believe Mchale biggest problem is that he is inconsistent. With that comes inconsistent views from game to game.  Emotions tend to be on a constant roller coaster and no one knows what to expect from game to game. Again, I love the guy as a player for the celtics and father, but he has been up and down from what I have seen. That's only my view.

        Pick me pick me!

I think the rotation should go as follows:

Asik - T-Rob (T-Rob's rim protection and rebounding is much better than Greg Smith's despite his height)

        D-Mo - Parsons - Delfino

        Parsons - Delfino - Garcia

Harden - James Anderson - Lin/Beverley (Anderson needs more minutes, McHale should give him a chance)

Lin - Beverley - Brooks (sub Lin out early because I want Lin back in while Harden rests)

Agree with almost everything except James Anderson. Can you explain why pick Anderson. I haven't seen him enough.

Absolutely agree with your other posts that either Harden or Lin must be on the floor any given minutes. Those guys can create something out of nothing. I hope Lin hit the gym and improve his shots. That would be very deadly combo.

Thanks. I appreciate you all for your thoughts and views. Sometimes I only read and refuse to post. I love houston sports and support houston rockets, texans,  my grandkids, kids and Astros. So I hope Mchale will become more consistent with his plans for the rockets, but if he continues with the plan he has people emotions will continue to be all over the place. Mchale problems seem to be self inflicted This is only my view. We should be talking about the team being above average, but we talking about how inconsistent he is.

James Anderson is a shooter with no conscious, give him an inch and he will let it fly.

He scored 14 points (4-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT) to go with five boards and a steal in 25 minutes against the Clippers last month.

He's also an average to good defender, so the only reason I can think McHale might not like playing him is because he's not a very good passer or ball handler. Still, it's not that hard to set him a screen or two, that's all he needs. Think of him as a Chase Budinger type player.

Your main argument is the record. Next you'll be saying that Carlisle is a HORRIBLE coach because of the Mavericks' record.

Your damn right that's my main argument. What better way is there to judge a coach than by record!!??

Alright guys, time to stop the name calling. Calling forum members morons or any other inappropriate names will not be tolerated. Besides it getting to the point where I have to comment on that, you should be embarrassed by those posts. There is nothing to be proud about when you start name calling and I believe as most of us here that the standard is higher here on Red94. If you insist on name calling take it to another forum because you will not have a place here for long with that kind of track record for all to see. If you are new to this forum and didn't realize that we don't resort to name calling normally here than now you know and we all expect it to stop. Thanks in advance.

Noted. I do apologize and will try to bite my tongue at times. It just angers me that people can be so hateful of our current rockets coach when he has done such a good job with this young team. It's quite mind boggling actually.

Yes, like Dirk being hurt much of the year and the Mavs having a bunch of past their prime players.
