I don't feel like tracking down the quote (it was in the chronicle, I think), but Parsons himself said that Morey told him to do what was best for him and go get as big of a contract as possible. They had a nice talk before he signed anything--Parsons, Fegan, and Morey. I don't for one second believe anyone got blind-sided except that Cuban made a savvy move (that may have hamstrung his own team) to pry Parsons away from Houston. Parsons had to let his agent read that thing first before signing it. He knew what it meant to have those kickers, etc. in there. Surely, he had to suspect that signing it might mean his departure. If not, well....

What if Parsons turns out to be a total (or even partial) bust in Dallas? Good luck trying to move his contract especially with the Player Option in Year 3 at $16 Million....
I'm kind of hoping for this as much as I hate to admit it.

Don't forget that:
Dirk will be 37-38 1 year from now.......
Jesus H. Christ! Can he really be that old? Kobe needs to relinquish his claim to "Vino".
