@  SadLakerFan : (16 September 2015 - 04:37 AM) Man, as a Laker fan, I'm learning how little you care about the off season when your team sucks. Anyway, a quick moment to remember Moses. Still remember watching the 81 team as a kid - losing record, NBA Finals. I would have cried w/joy if they could have beaten the Celtics.

@  thejohnnygold : (14 September 2015 - 04:36 PM) A good article from Blinebury talking about when Hakeem and Moses used to play in the park. LINK
@  rockets best... : (14 September 2015 - 02:29 AM) I agree totally. I got to watch his Rocket days and the man was a hell of a player. BIG MO R.I.P.
@  Mario Peña : (13 September 2015 - 05:24 PM) Sad to see Moses pass. I don't remember watching him as a Rocket but I do remember his Philly and Hawks teams. He was the perfect man to mentor Dream. It's a very sad day for his family and friends and there are many.
@  majik19 : (12 September 2015 - 09:01 PM) i just saw a post wishing Yao Ming a happy 35th birthday... am I the only one whose mind is blown that he's only 35?

@  jorgeaam : (08 September 2015 - 12:21 AM) Love it how Hinkie and Morey always target the same players, but hoping he isn't another Covington

#10675 Aaron Brooks back in Houston?

Posted by RocketMan on 04 March 2013 - 05:03 PM

I'm not sure what got him thrown into a bench player status, but when you take out all of his low-minute games (14 or less is what I went with) he ends up with numbers like this: (based on about 23 minutes per game) 9.6 ppg at 47% 3 threes per game at 41% 2.8 AST (SAC averages 20.3 per night vs HOU's 23.5) 1.4 free throws per night (not super agressive getting to the basket with SAC) We all know he's a good finisher around the rim. I know his assist numbers will increase to at least 5 per game with a functioning offense. The only question is how the minutes are shared between him and Beverly. BTW I only have one piece of Rockets fan gear, and it happens to be a Brooks tee (which I am wearing). I guess I'm overdue for a visit to Houston...

#6820 Recap: Houston Rockets 117, Toronto Raptors 101.

Posted by RocketMan on 28 November 2012 - 04:15 PM

First Half: 2 turnovers, 18 team assists
Second Half: 12 turnovers, mostly in the 4th quarter. 38 pts in 3rd, 18 pts in 4th.

A very clean first half in which we did everything right, except maybe some defense. Second half got sloppy once we put our bench in, but we need to be able to rely on that bench a little more in an 82-game season. I was hoping Morris would stay in for Patterson a bit longer to see if he could set a new personal best for scoring. 11 points in the 1st had him headed for a similar game to what Parsons had against NY.

#6420 Kevin McHale might want to play some of those young guys.

I just have to say thanks to everyone in the forum for not writing your entire posts in lolcat or twitterspeak (see http://mobile.twitte...m/jordanchill43). It's nice to be able to have a useful conversation about basketball without feeling like I'm having a comment battle at the bottom of a Fox News article. You all stay classy.
