After Season 1 captivated audiences and topped Netflix’s charts at the beginning of 2023, the beloved Spanish series makes its return. The plot revolves around child abductions. Netflix is set to release the next installment of The Little Girl Under the Snow starting January 31 on its streaming platform.
The ending of the first six episodes seemed to perfectly set the stage for more, as in the final moments of episode 6, the protagonist Miren received a disturbing letter with a photo of a bound young girl. This sets up the journalist to continue her mission to rescue other kidnapped and abused children from the pornography network that she too was a victim of.
To portray Miren, the Spanish production has cast Milena Smit, a model and actress from Spain who has appeared in two Pedro Almodovar films (Cross the Line and Parallel Mothers). Her co-star is none other than Miki Esparbé, known for his roles in Malnazidos and the romantic series Smiley (Netflix).
What is the plot of The Little Girl Under the Snow?
In Season 1, the disappearance of a 5-year-old girl during a festive parade in Málaga prompted Miren, a young intern journalist, to help the family in their search.
In Season 2, Miren now investigates an elite school that appears to be at the heart of the disappearance and murder of two young girls. She is joined by Jaime, an investigative journalist who has come to the Diario Sur newsroom, fleeing his past and attempting to restore his tarnished reputation.
