2025 NBA Slam Dunk Contest Lineup
The NBA has chosen an unconventional group for its four-player dunk contest roster. Shams Charania announced via Twitter on Monday that Mac McClung, Stephon Castle, Matas Buzelis, and Andre Jackson Jr. will showcase their skills on TNT during All-Star Saturday.

Meet the Dunk Contest Contenders of 2025
Most of this year’s slam dunk competitors are NBA players, with the exception of the two-time champion from the G League.
Mac McClung
Previously a high school dunking sensation, McClung has clinched victory in the last two All-Star weekend dunk contests. He is currently playing for the Osceola Magic, the same team he represented during his previous win. Despite this, McClung’s NBA experience is limited to just four games, most recently with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2023.
Stephon Castle
Drafted fourth overall by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2024 NBA Draft from UConn, Castle was named the Big East freshman of the year after leading the Huskies to a national title. The rookie has been a starter in 25 games this season, averaging 11 points, three rebounds, and two assists.
Matas Buzelis
The Chicago Bulls’ Matas Buzelis, the eleventh pick in the 2024 draft and a former five-star recruit, opted to bypass college basketball for a stint with the G League Ignite. This season, he’s averaging 4.9 points and 2.7 rebounds over 12.7 minutes per game.
Andre Jackson Jr.
Jackson, a second-round pick in the 2023 draft, is contributing three points and three rebounds per game this season for the Milwaukee Bucks. Starting 33 games and averaging 17 minutes per game, Jackson helped turn the team around from a 1-6 start to fourth place in the Eastern Conference.
