Shaq has introduced a new product called Shaq-a-licious XL Gummies, oversized gummy candies that feature his likeness.
“I grew up in Germany where we often enjoyed gummy bears—the cherry ones, the cola ones, the worms,” Shaq recounted in an interview with Sports Illustrated. “One day I was joking around thinking about creating gummies shaped like my face. We contacted our friends at Hershey and they were excited to collaborate with us, and that’s how it came about.”
“The funny thing I like to tell people is, if you’re ever upset with me, just bite my head off,” Shaq joked.
With Shaq now having his own personalized candy, the question arose: what would a Charles Barkley-themed candy look like?
“FFGs – Fat Face Gummies,” Shaq responded with a chuckle. “They’d be super thick gummies that would just swell up if you added water to them.”
Both Shaq-a-licious Original and Shaq-a-licious Sour gummies will be available at major retailers across the U.S. starting this month.
