During a fast-paced game against the Denver Nuggets on Friday, Victor Wembanyama, the center for the San Antonio Spurs, was fouled by Russell Westbrook as he went for a layup. Wembanyama not only completed the shot but also seized the moment to verbally spar with the seasoned All-NBA guard.
Westbrook was clearly not pleased.
Facing Wembanyama’s taunts, Westbrook looked back at him with a mix of annoyance and disbelief. This memorable exchange was captured and shared by Bleacher Report, visible here:

In addition to sinking the free throw that followed, Wembanyama ultimately emerged as the victor that evening, with the Spurs clinching a 113-110 win. He scored an impressive 35 points, making 14 of 22 shots, and grabbed 18 rebounds. Westbrook, on the other hand, managed only nine points in his 31 minutes on the court for the Nuggets.
The teams are set to face each other again the following day, this time on the Spurs’ home turf in San Antonio, with the game starting at 8 p.m. ET at the Frost Bank Center.
