Russell Westbrook is eagerly adapting to his new environment with the Denver Nuggets, alongside teammates such as guard Jamal Murray.

The seasoned point guard signed a two-year contract with the Nuggets during the offseason. Westbrook was first seen donning his Nuggets jersey at the team’s media day on Thursday, an event that caught the attention of NBA enthusiasts.

In a video shared by the NBA, Westbrook appeared to be thoroughly enjoying himself with Murray. Throughout several photoshoots, he repeatedly imitated Murray’s well-known blue arrow celebration.

Westbrook’s imitation of the blue arrow celebration not only amused him but also had Murray laughing multiple times. It was clear that Westbrook was quite taken with Murray’s signature move.

Murray originally debuted the blue arrow celebration during his college basketball days at Kentucky. After sinking a three-pointer, he would simulate shooting an arrow from a bow towards the crowd, a gesture that earned him the nickname “Blue Arrow.”

Now, there’s anticipation that Westbrook might adopt this celebration during the 2024–25 NBA season, especially since he seems quite fond of it, provided Murray gives his blessing.
