Nike Throws Shade at Jaylen Brown with Epic Clapback After Giannis’s Stellar Performance

In an electrifying performance during Wednesday’s game, Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo was unstoppable, leading his team to a 127-120 victory in overtime against the Detroit Pistons. Known as the Greek Freak, he erupted for 22 points in just the first quarter, contributing significantly to the team’s total and ending the game with a remarkable 59 points, just a few short of his personal best.

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s recent game performance could be described in many ways, but “childish” certainly isn’t one of them. After the game, Nike, one of his sponsors, made it a point to highlight his maturity and skill on social media, celebrating the team’s victory.

“Nothing childish about ‘em. 59 for the Greek freak,” Nike posted on X.

This tweet appears to subtly reference a recent incident with Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics, who labeled Antetokounmpo as “a child” following a playful fake handshake incident during a game where the Celtics clinched a 113-107 victory.

“Giannis is a child. I’m just focused on helping my team get a win. And that’s what we did tonight,” Brown commented after the game.

Since signing his initial sneaker contract with Nike in 2013, Antetokounmpo has evidently gained a strong and somewhat witty backer in the sportswear giant. The Bucks, currently with a record of 4-8, are set to face the Celtics next on December 6.
