Breaking news—the “B” in NBA might as well stand for “brotherhood.”

Immediately following the Milwaukee Bucks’ triumph in the 2024 NBA Cup, securing $500,000 for each player, beloved forward Giannis Antetokounmpo sought out his brother and ex-teammate Thanasis for a heartfelt sibling celebration.

The Washington Post‘s Ben Golliver was on hand to capture this touching moment, which is available for viewing below.

Throughout the game, Thanasis was visibly excited for his brother, especially during Giannis’ impressive block against Alex Caruso of the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Bucks have a perfect 7–0 record this season with Thanasis in the stands.

Besides that, Giannis also marked his team’s victory with a spontaneous gesture related to the prize money, raising five fingers and then forming a zero, symbolizing the $500,000.

After a competitive first half, the Bucks managed to secure a decisive 97–81 win over the Thunder, propelling much-needed momentum into their initially sluggish season. With a stellar performance of 26 points, 19 rebounds, and 10 assists, Giannis clinched the NBA Cup MVP title.

In Giannis’ own words, “Job. Is. Done.”
