On March 5, a series adaptation of the classic Italian novel The Leopard was released. Originally adapted into a film by Luchino Visconti in 1963, the story is set in the latter half of the 19th century during a tumultuous period in Sicily, where the old nobility is fading against the rise of the new bourgeoisie. Social alliances are necessary to thrive in this changing order. The series features Deva Cassel, daughter of Vincent Cassel and Monica Bellucci, in one of her first major roles, alongside Kim Rossi Stuart and Saul Nanni.

In terms of series, you might also want to check out Beauty in Black by Tyler Perry, which follows the intertwined lives of two very different women. Additionally, the new season of the comedy Resident Alien is out, featuring an alien who takes on the identity of a doctor to find his spaceship.

For movie lovers, the Mexican action film Counter-Strike has climbed into Netflix’s top 10. It follows elite soldiers on leave who are caught in an ambush and must confront a formidable enemy. Or, you might discover Police, a film by Anne Fontaine starring Omar Sy and Virginie Efira, which was released in 2020. It centers on three Parisian cops tasked with escorting a foreigner who faces death if deported, leading to a moral dilemma among them.

It’s also worth noting that some recent releases still dominate the list of top-viewed content, such as the French action movie Bastion 36, the comedic series The Lead starring Kate Hudson (renewed for a second season), the British series based on a true story Toxic Town, the western Yellowstone, and the political thriller Zero Day featuring Robert De Niro.
