Over his 11-season NBA career, Muscala has worn the jerseys of seven different teams. These include stints with the Atlanta Hawks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Philadelphia 76ers, Washington Wizards, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, and Detroit Pistons.
There is a prior connection between Muscala and Ott. During the period when Ott served as a video assistant for the Philadelphia 76ers from 2013 to 2016, Muscala was also part of the team as a player.
Muscala concludes his playing career with a total of 548 NBA games, averaging 5.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per game, with a shooting accuracy of 45.1% from the field throughout his eleven seasons.
