On Sunday, the Charlotte Hornets clinched the 2025 NBA Summer League title with an 83-78 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, wrapping up their summer play with an unbeaten record of 6-0.

Post-match celebrations saw the Hornets receiving several impressive awards, including a sizable trophy, a new addition for their trophy collection. This victory is particularly significant for a franchise that has yet to win their division or reach a conference final.

Kon Knueppel, who notched up 21 points in the final game, was also awarded a trophy for his performance.

In addition to his award, Knueppel showcased a notably large Summer League championship ring, housed in a rotating display box that allowed everyone to view it completely without leaving smudges.

It remains uncertain what becomes of the sparkling, disco ball-like Summer League ball placed at the center of the table. Is it a new trophy or merely a decorative piece? And more intriguingly, who ends up taking home this flashy, non-bouncing ball?

Perhaps an undrafted player managed to take it as the ultimate keepsake from a few enchanting weeks spent alongside Kon Knueppel and the Charlotte Hornets’ summer league squad.
