On Monday, renowned NBA reporter Shams Charania announced that the team has decided to indefinitely suspend the All-Star forward, marking his third suspension of the season.
According to Charania, the latest disciplinary action came after Butler left a team shootaround upon hearing the news that he would be coming off the bench in future games. It’s reported that Butler could forfeit approximately $500,000 for each game he misses due to this suspension.
Despite the significant financial consequences, Butler seems to be taking the situation lightly.
Shortly after the suspension news was made public, Butler shared a humorous video on Instagram from the ’90s sitcom Martin. In the clip, Martin, portrayed by Martin Lawrence, teases his friend Tommy, played by Thomas Mikal Ford, about not having a job. He also posted a photo of Tommy to his Instagram story.
