Miami Heat’s forward Jimmy Butler is poised to make a comeback after missing seven games.

Butler is slated to play for the Heat in their upcoming game against the Denver Nuggets on Friday, as reported by seasoned NBA reporter Chris Haynes on Friday afternoon.

This game will mark Butler’s first appearance since January 2, when he contributed nine points in Miami’s 128–115 defeat to the Indiana Pacers. Following this game, Butler was suspended for seven games by the Heat due to actions deemed detrimental to the team, amidst increasing rumors about his wish to be traded.

In Butler’s absence, the Heat managed a 3-4 record; they were 17-15 prior to his suspension.

This performance places them eighth in the Eastern Conference, just 1.5 games behind the Indiana Pacers who are in sixth place.

The Heat have 20 days remaining to trade Butler, whose contract extends through this season, excluding a $52.4 million player option for 2026. The six-time All-Star has an average of 17.6 points per game this season, which is his lowest in 11 years.
