In a recent game against the Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray had a respectable performance, despite the team’s loss. He scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds, along with delivering a season-high 11 assists.

Additionally, Murray engaged in an unusual act that didn’t appear on the statistics.

During the match at Ball Arena, Murray managed to catch a fly that was buzzing around. He proceeded to carry the live fly over to the commentators’ table and gently placed it in front of ESPN commentator Doris Burke while there was a pause in the game.

“I saw that you didn’t seem too keen to pick it up,” said ESPN’s play-by-play announcer Mike Breen to a laughing Burke.

At the time Murray delivered the fly to Burke, the Nuggets were trailing the Mavericks with a score of 99-97, and they subsequently fell short in the fourth quarter, losing 123-120.

“Ginobili catches bats, Murray catches flies,” Breen remarked, referencing an event from 2009 when San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili caught a bat mid-game in the arena during a clash with the Sacramento Kings.
