The state trooper managed to stop Edey while he was traveling east on Tippecanoe County Road 700 South.
Edey faces a misdemeanor charge and is scheduled for a court hearing on June 23.
This season, Edey was named to the NBA’s All-Rookie team after playing in 66 games, starting in 55, and averaging 9.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game, shooting 58.0% from the field.
Recently, Edey had surgery on his ankle, an event that is expected to delay his return for the upcoming season.
