Cassidy Hubbarth has been a prominent figure at ESPN for 15 years. Shortly after completing her college education, the Evanston, Illinois native quickly rose to prominence, especially during the NBA’s prosperous period in the 2010s.

With the basketball scene transitioning into a new phase of media coverage, Hubbarth is taking her talents to Amazon, where she will lead their NBA broadcasts. Her final appearance for ESPN occurred during the play-in tournament game between the Miami Heat and the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday.

As the game, dominated by the Heat, came to an end, commentators Mike Breen, Doris Burke, and Richard Jefferson each took a moment to commend Hubbarth.

“Cassidy embodies professionalism, teamwork, and above all, she’s a kind and caring friend,” praised Breen.

Burke chimed in, “She’s a consummate professional. You’ve really made a mark, Cass. Here’s to earning more yet working less—seeing great things ahead. You truly shine among the stars.”

Jefferson expressed his gratitude, noting how welcoming Hubbarth was when he started his career in media, stating, “she’s going to excel in her new role.”

Visibly emotional, Hubbarth thanked her colleagues and quickly shifted the focus back to her professional duties, saying, “I still have a postgame interview! You can’t make me cry right now,” and added, “I love you guys. ESPN has provided so many opportunities to foster and expand my career in incredible ways.
