The Golden State Warriors are in a fierce battle to secure a direct spot in the playoffs, aiming for at least the sixth seed in the Western Conference to avoid the play-in tournament. However, their recent 124-115 defeat on the road against the Atlanta Hawks could have significant implications as the season wraps up.
Following the game, Warriors forward Draymond Green openly expressed his frustration with the team’s performance in his interaction with the media.
“Bad loss,” Green stated. “It’s a terrible loss. With only eleven games remaining and so much at stake, we shouldn’t be losing like this.”

In the absence of Steph Curry, Green struggled during the game, making only two of seven shots and scoring a mere five points in 35 minutes. The Hawks quickly took advantage of the Warriors’ situation, surging to a 40-23 lead by the end of the first quarter, a deficit from which Golden State could not recover.
Despite this setback, the Warriors still hold the sixth position in the Western Conference standings. However, with the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Los Angeles Clippers trailing closely by just half a game, the pressure remains high in the upcoming games.
