The Phoenix Suns’ losing streak worsened to seven consecutive games following a 133–95 defeat by the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday evening, leaving guard Bradley Beal openly acknowledging the severity of the loss.

Addressing the media post-game, a visibly upset Beal expressed his frustration, noting the magnitude of the team’s 38-point defeat with a particularly striking comment.
When asked if he found the game’s outcome embarrassing, Beal responded promptly, “Definitely. No one enjoys losing, and to lose by 30 or 40 points? We might as well have stayed home.”

Beal also acknowledged the Warriors’ motivation, noting that they are currently ranked sixth in the Western Conference and are eager to maintain their position heading into the playoffs.
“They’re pushing to climb higher or at least secure their spot,” Beal noted. “And it shows in their gameplay.”
This observation is particularly poignant given the recent dynamics between the Suns and Warriors, especially during the trade deadline in February.
The Suns had shown interest in acquiring seasoned player Jimmy Butler, but were unable to do so due to the large-scale contract of Beal. Despite the possibility of trading him, Beal’s contract includes a no-trade clause, a rare feature he shares only with LeBron James. Consequently, Butler was acquired by the Warriors, who have seen a resurgence in their season as they head towards the playoffs.
Given these circumstances, Tuesday’s defeat not only impacts the team and its supporters but also adds pressure on Beal himself. Adding insult to injury, indeed.
