Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green has spent his entire twelve-season NBA career with teammate Klay Thompson. Together, they have experienced seasons of great triumphs, challenges, and everything in between.

However, the 2024-25 season will mark a change as Thompson will join the Dallas Mavericks, a move finalized through a sign-and-trade deal on July 6. During the Warriors’ media day on Monday, Green openly shared his strategy for when he faces Thompson in upcoming games against the Mavericks.

“I’m running through his chest,” Green declared during an interview on the Sloane Knows Podcast, when asked about his game plan for guarding Thompson.

When podcast host Sloane inquired whether Green would engage in trash talk, Green responded affirmatively.

“Of course,” Green said. “He’s my brother, but now he’s on the other side. He’s with the opposition now.”

Green and Thompson have together clinched four NBA championships for the Warriors in 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2022.

This season, the Golden State Warriors and the Dallas Mavericks are set to face each other three times: once on November 12 in San Francisco, another on February 12 in Texas, and a final game on February 23 at the Chase Center.
