In a recent NBA preseason game on Wednesday, the San Antonio Spurs emerged victorious over the Orlando Magic with a score of 107-97. Despite Victor Wembanyama’s subpar shooting performance of 4-of-15, the emphasis in preseason matches isn’t so much on statistics or outcomes as it is on gameplay dynamics.

The highlight of the game, however, was Wembanyama’s impressive display of athleticism with two dunks, including his first alley-oop from Chris Paul during an official game.

Already a formidable presence on his own, Wembanyama’s second year looks even more promising with Chris Paul setting him up. Mo Wagner was the first to experience the duo’s potential during a notable play.

Reflecting on Paul’s past, it’s reminiscent of the Lob City days, though now he doesn’t need pinpoint accuracy as Wembanyama can handle a wider range of passes. It’s quite special that after playing with a prime Blake Griffin, Paul now gets to assist the rising star, Wembanyama, a decade later.

And truly, the excitement is all about Wembanyama. He had a healthy rookie year, participating in 71 games, and he continues to dazzle with plays that make him look as effortless as a teenager playing on a child’s hoop.

It looks set to be an exciting season filled with remarkable highlights.
