Shortly after trading Georges Niang to the Utah Jazz, the Boston Celtics finalized a one-year agreement with experienced forward Chris Boucher, based on information from ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Boucher’s contract with Boston is fully guaranteed, and he is set to earn $3.3 million in the upcoming season.

Boucher, who was the last remaining player from the Toronto Raptors’ 2019 championship team during the previous season, has played seven out of his first eight NBA seasons with the team. Last season, he played 50 games, achieving averages of 10.0 points and 4.5 rebounds, with a shooting accuracy of 49.2% from the field and 36.3% from beyond the arc.

In the coming season, Boucher is anticipated to play a significant role in Boston’s restructured frontcourt, especially as the Celtics aim to regroup with their All-NBA star Jayson Tatum expected to miss most of the season due to an Achilles tear.
