Bulls Not Trading Lonzo Ball, Sources Say

The Chicago Bulls participated in a significant three-team trade recently, sending Zach LaVine to the Sacramento Kings, a move that also saw De’Aaron Fox going to the San Antonio Spurs.

In return, the Bulls acquired Kevin Huerter, Zach Collins, and Tre Jones. Reports suggest that Jones and Huerter might be traded again before the trading deadline approaches.

Despite ongoing trade interests this season, it’s unlikely that Lonzo Ball will be part of any forthcoming transactions involving the Bulls, as stated by Marc Stein.

Furthermore, Stein mentioned that the Bulls have no plans to buy out Ball’s contract post-deadline, a common strategy that allows players to sign with any team under the salary cap regulations.

While situations can shift quickly, the current expectation is that Ball will remain with the Bulls throughout the season. He will be an unrestricted free agent once the season concludes.
