As the Pacers prepare for the Eastern Conference finals, marking Turner’s 11th playoff series with the team, rumors are circulating about his long-term commitment to the squad. Insider Jake Fischer hinted on Friday afternoon that these rumors might be addressed soon.
“There is a growing belief among league sources that Turner will renew his contract in Indiana,” Fischer reported.
Having participated in 642 games, Turner is ranked sixth in franchise history for most games played, which represents about 14% of all the regular-season games the Pacers have ever played.
This season, the two-time leader in blocked shots has averaged 15.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game for Indiana.
