For those not familiar, the Arco Perfect Pump challenge involves fans attempting to pump exactly $25 worth of gas using a simulated gas pump. At this particular game, two participants first hit the mark perfectly and then both pumped exactly $25.20 in a tiebreaker round.
The game could have easily been overshadowed by this exciting showdown, with fans likely preferring to watch a prolonged pump-off rather than the basketball game. However, the contest was moved aside to resume the game, and a rock paper scissors match was suggested to determine the winner.
The crowd expressed their disapproval of this decision with boos. Acknowledging the audience’s reaction, the event host dismissed the rock paper scissors idea and declared both contestants as winners.
