In a remarkable performance during the Golden State Warriors’ 134-125 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday evening, Stephen Curry not only dazzled with his skills but also set multiple records.

Curry’s incredible statistics for the game included 52 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, five steals, and 12 three-pointers. With this, he became the first player in NBA history to achieve at least 50 points, 10 three-pointers, and five steals in a single game, as per official NBA records.

He also eclipsed Michael Jordan for the most games scoring at least 50 points with a shooting accuracy of 50% and 60% from the three-point line. This game marked Curry’s eighth time achieving such impressive stats. Additionally, Curry holds the record for the most games with at least 10 three-pointers, tallying 27 such instances over his career.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr suggested that Curry’s standout performance might have been fueled by the rest he got during a week off due to a pelvic contusion. Curry also engaged in a couple of golf rounds during the team’s road trip, which Kerr humorously credited for helping Curry’s game.

“I can’t believe he’s still performing like this at his age, but he’s really dedicated himself. He’s still on top of his game,” Kerr remarked following the game. He half-jokingly added, “I think the week off and a couple of golf rounds this trip really contributed. He came back looking refreshed and revitalized.”

“At 37 years old,” Kerr noted at another time during the press conference, “it’s just remarkable. Scoring 52 points with defenders all over him throughout the game. His conditioning, skill level, audacity, and confidence are just a pleasure to witness.”

This game marked Curry’s third appearance since recovering from his injury, and it was by far his most impressive showing both offensively and defensively this season. His performance played a crucial role in maintaining the Warriors’ position at the fifth seed in the Western Conference, just ahead of the Grizzlies. With seven more games left in the regular season, Golden State is keen to secure their playoff spot.
