On a recent Tuesday night, Steph Curry, the renowned sharpshooter for the Golden State Warriors, amassed an impressive 32 points along with seven rebounds and five assists, all in the first half of their game against the Memphis Grizzlies. His explosive performance propelled the Warriors to a 74–66 lead at halftime.

However, instead of Curry, it was Warriors rookie Quinten Post who found himself speaking to the media at the end of the second quarter. The rookie center was perplexed as to why he was chosen for the interview rather than Curry, who had just lit up the scoreboard.

When asked about the game’s intense first half, Post responded, “I don’t know why I’m here, Steph got [32] points, but thank you.”

The interviewer playfully remarked, “You’re a rookie, we don’t make [Steph] stop,” to which Post agreed, recognizing the logic behind the decision.

Check out the amusing exchange below:

As the game progressed into the third quarter, the Grizzlies managed to slightly outscore the Warriors. There’s a pressing need for Curry to continue his stellar performance.

Alternatively, the rookie Post might step up. In his debut NBA season, after transferring from Boston College, Post is averaging 8.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists over 36 games, not including the ongoing match.
