Dante Exum was in the starting lineup and played for seven minutes before he had to leave the court and head to the locker room accompanied by a trainer. Shortly after his exit, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported via Twitter that Exum had sustained a broken bone in his hand and would be sidelined for an indefinite period.

Following the trade of star player Luka Doncic and injuries to other key players, Exum had become a regular starter this season, starting 11 out of his 17 game appearances. He had missed the first 48 games due to wrist surgery earlier in the season.
A video capturing Exum’s departure from the game due to his injury was shared online.

With the season nearing its end and only about four weeks remaining, and the Mavericks currently positioned 10th in the league, it appears unlikely that Exum will make a return before the season concludes.
