Dennis Schroeder’s recent move from the Brooklyn Nets to the Golden State Warriors has significantly boosted his chances of playing in the postseason. The Warriors, with a much stronger team profile, are well-positioned for a playoff appearance, an improvement that even Schroeder’s son could point out with his candid take.

During his first public event with the Warriors on Tuesday, Schroeder recounted a conversation at home following the trade news.

“My wife broke the news to him, and he immediately asked, ‘Where are we headed?’ When we told him Golden State, he reacted by saying, ‘Oh, we’re in luck now, they’re a good team,'” Schroeder explained. “It was the first thing he said, and it made me laugh despite feeling upset.”

This optimistic and proactive outlook is exactly what the Warriors would appreciate seeing Schroeder bring into their gameplay. Given the team’s prolonged success, it’s easy for players to overlook just how competent they have been or to start taking their achievements for granted.
