My issue with players who relies on just athletic ability declines faster than someone like Duncan, Pierce. Dwight doesn't have the same fundamentals, his post moves are based on athleticism and he doesn't have a jumper. Same could be said about defensively but I don't think he will regress there as fast. 

 

When he that happens he will be a huge liability on our cap and roster at the later years of the contract. I don't know when this will happen, but it will be based on how he perform this year.

Dmo situation is different. It wasn't about starting, he just asked the team that if he is not in their future he would like to be traded. 

That was when we had a bunch of young Pfs and he wasn't getting any PT.

It was bad on both sides, people who started to resent Lin because of his fans.

PER is so flawed its ridiculous. Look at some of the names that are up there that has high PER. Amare has 20 rating does that mean he had a better season than DMo and jones? Like txt do said, jones wouldn't have been able to do what DMo did when Howard bev and tj was out. His splits are flawed because he had to play center. While they both have high ceilings DMo is more consistent and the last few games for DMo drop could have been to the poor back.
