Delfino is a sg/SF but mainly plays SF, at least that's what he played in milwauke
That's because the bucks had a smaller team. Ellis (after the trade) and Jennings are their 1 and 2 do to get some floor time Delfino had to play the 3. We have enough 3s that will allow him to slide over to the 2. But really in today's basketball the 2 and 3 are interchangeable. Parsons is going to guard the best perimeter player the other team has and whichever other wing is on the court will guard the other.
As far as value, the rockets got a 1st round pick for Battier. Delfino is a better offensive player then Battier. I'm not saying they will get alot for Delfino but if the T-Wolves are in the playoff race and need a 2 come the trade deadline and the Rockets have Delfino and Martin on expiring contracts (which Delfino's would be with the team option) the Rockets would have the opportunity to trade one.
