We have enough 3s that will allow him to slide over to the 2. But really in today's basketball the 2 and 3 are interchangeable. Parsons is going to guard the best perimeter player the other team has and whichever other wing is on the court will guard the other.

As far as value, the rockets got a 1st round pick for Battier. Delfino is a better offensive player then Battier. I'm not saying they will get alot for Delfino but if the T-Wolves are in the playoff race and need a 2 come the trade deadline and the Rockets have Delfino and Martin on expiring contracts (which Delfino's would be with the team option) the Rockets would have the opportunity to trade one.

Wolves added bud, AK47 and Roy they probably wont be looking to add anyone uless they all get hurt. Battier had way more value at the time we traded him than delfino has now if someone wanted delfino they would sign him now as his only offers have been the minimum.

So the Wolves added a defensive liability, a stretch 4 and a guy with Zero knees. How does that help their lack of a 2 guard?

Delfino looks like Courtney Lee(lite)..Seems that Morey likes having the 1-2 offensive/defensive combo at the two. Whereas we once had Martin/Lee, now we may have Lamb/Delfino at the 2.. Looks like a nice tradeoff to me considering the cost difference... looking towards the future anyways.
