When you come down to making a decision you want to be able to make a choice between very different options, and I think D'Antoni is that. I'd hope at the end of the day the Rockets brain trust picks someone else, but seems fine to have him on the shortlist.

      Yes!!! It's my birthday, 3.30 am and I'm so pumped up with this, I can't even go to sleep right now. We got our best case scenario, even though I would prefer portland in the first round, being able to avoid the warriors until the WCF is better. Now let's win one against the Mavs!

      At 56-26, Houston is tied with the Clippers for 3rd best record in the league.  Only the Hawks and Warriors posted better.  Entering the post season with a front court that, even without D-Mo, is healthier than it has been all season has me feeling all kinds of good.

       

      I'm cracking open a beer.  Cheers to Houston--the team, the city, and the fans.  Cheers to all of you as well.  We are often an odd and dysfunctional group, but in our own way we are family.  Looking forward to enjoying the second part of the season with you all.  :wub:

        Logically, objectively, Harden really deserves the MVP.

        Then again, in sports, it's rarely logic. It's "the feels".

          Not quite. The BCS would have been the Grizzlies to lose and get the 6th seed so that the Warriors would have been eliminated by the Spurs in the semifinals. Now we have to deal with 7 games of hack-a-whoever on the semifinals to beat the Spurs.

            Wasn't expecting the grizzlies to lose yesterday with seeding on the line. You're right, but for me the realistic scenario was spurs, rockets and memphis wins yesterday. Since one of them didn't happen, I was a little bit too excited and didn't even think about that :lol:
