totally agree..............this seems to be the off season from hell. nobody is happy. 

1.Parsons pissed because we didn't view him as a star

2. Rockets pissed because Parsons went and signed the offer sheet from hell and did it with the enemy.......Cuban/Dallas

3.Parsons pissed because D-12 said we will be fine without him and Harden called him a role player.

4.Morey taking jabs at his reputation for missing out on FA's and letting Parsons walk

5.I'm pissed because McHale still has a job.

6.some are unhappy with the trades of Lin and Asik

7.some are unhappy with the new players brought in

 

Yep..........looks like there is a little something for everyone. looks like the season can't start soon enough

What "new" players were brought in? Looks like 4 retreads to me, rookies non-withstanding.

Frankly, there is a little less offensive diversity (confusion), pace will slow down, defense gets better, cap space preserved, younglings get more time. Not its not glamorous, unless somehow the team gell's they won't get dark horse hype. We are clearly locked into 8-4 seed contention with hopes of doing better in future FA classes. Its not like Morey swung for fences and ended up with zero flexibility, Flexibility brings hope, just not immediately fulfilled int this off seasons case.

 

I am seriously worried about the bench though. If McHale needs to play Harden 40+ a game just to win mid tier match-ups its not good. Anyway whatever let the season play out. Its a shame though that outside watching Howard go nuts in the playoffs, I did enjoy the subplots of Lin Beverley and Parsons.

I guess the Canaan Truthers won't like it, but seems like Ramon Sessions could be available at a price below his true value. Assuming he is willing to come over for less money than he expected, what are everybody's thoughts of him as the second unit PG?

I think we should stand pat for now and see what we've got (unless there's a big fish obviously). If things aren't moving by mid December, then I'd start thinking about signing guys like Sessions.

Sorry that was the only link I could find. Good to hear there was more to the story. Goes back to something I said in another thread about the media taking things out of contect to portray something that may or may not be what was actually said.

 

The season needs to start already so we can put all this speculation behind us.

 

No worries--that was directed at the author of the article--not yourself.

 

As for Sessions, he certainly has potential to be a solid player in our system.  I agree that we should stand pat and see how the guys do.  I'm still full of Canaan Truthiness.

I think we should stand pat for now and see what we've got (unless there's a big fish obviously). If things aren't moving by mid December, then I'd start thinking about signing guys like Sessions.

Sessions won't be sitting out there in mid-December waiting for a team to come knocking on his door. He'll either sign with someone by the time training camps open up or he'll just ply his trade overseas.

I'm not endorsing the Rockets rush out and sign him, just pointing out the fact quality players like Sessions aren't sitting around in mid-December waiting for someone, anyone, to call them.
