@  SadLakerFan : (16 September 2015 - 04:37 AM) Man, as a Laker fan, I'm learning how little you care about the off season when your team sucks. Anyway, a quick moment to remember Moses. Still remember watching the 81 team as a kid - losing record, NBA Finals. I would have cried w/joy if they could have beaten the Celtics.

@  rockets best... : (14 September 2015 - 02:29 AM) I agree totally. I got to watch his Rocket days and the man was a hell of a player. BIG MO R.I.P.
@  Mario Peña : (13 September 2015 - 05:24 PM) Sad to see Moses pass. I don't remember watching him as a Rocket but I do remember his Philly and Hawks teams. He was the perfect man to mentor Dream. It's a very sad day for his family and friends and there are many.

    Oh wow. Such ignorance.

I got a theory now: LOF's should at least be partially blamed for our budding star in Jeremy Lin getting hated on. If you truly enjoy Lin as a player and as a person, and wish him the best, BS like this has to stop. Be real.

I think that post was laced with sarcasm actually. And even if LOFs are incredibly irrational, it doesn't mean that people should stoop to their level and irrationally hate on JLin. Can't we just enjoy the basketball that is being played and the numbers he is putting up without constantly trying to prove/disprove how good/bad a player he is? I think the fans who hate on Lin are equally culpable. And I do think that it is not and was never a comparison between PBev and Lin. Bev brings energy and pesky on-ball defence to the floor - perhaps a poor man's Avery Bradley (defence-wise) who can actually shoot the 3-ball consistently. JLin on the other hand is a do-it-all, shot-creating PG/SG who isn't elite but is damn near good enough to be handed the reins of the team and produce at a consistently high level.

Lin is more valuable for Rockets when he plays as the sixth man. I don't say that Lin isn't a good starter material, but with Harden in this team, it seems better for him to spark from the bench. Kudos to Mchale who found the right role for him.
