thejohnnygold (29 September 2015 - 05:16 AM) FYI, it was media day today. Interviews are up at NBA.com
slick shoes (23 September 2015 - 06:37 PM) kind of late in the day but NBATV is broadcasting classis Rockets games all day today.
SadLakerFan (16 September 2015 - 04:37 AM) Man, as a Laker fan, I'm learning how little you care about the off season when your team sucks. Anyway, a quick moment to remember Moses. Still remember watching the 81 team as a kid - losing record, NBA Finals. I would have cried w/joy if they could have beaten the Celtics.
jorgeaam (15 September 2015 - 08:30 PM) http://bleacherrepor...ist-after-crash
jorgeaam (15 September 2015 - 08:30 PM) So to celebrate his new contract, Montrezl Harrell saved someone's life on monday
thejohnnygold (14 September 2015 - 04:36 PM) A good article from Blinebury talking about when Hakeem and Moses used to play in the park. LINK
rockets best... (14 September 2015 - 02:29 AM) I agree totally. I got to watch his Rocket days and the man was a hell of a player. BIG MO R.I.P.
Mario Peña (13 September 2015 - 05:24 PM) Sad to see Moses pass. I don't remember watching him as a Rocket but I do remember his Philly and Hawks teams. He was the perfect man to mentor Dream. It's a very sad day for his family and friends and there are many.
majik19 (12 September 2015 - 09:01 PM) i just saw a post wishing Yao Ming a happy 35th birthday... am I the only one whose mind is blown that he's only 35?
cointurtlemoose (08 September 2015 - 01:17 AM) aaaah, thanks jorge
jorgeaam (08 September 2015 - 12:21 AM) Love it how Hinkie and Morey always target the same players, but hoping he isn't another Covington
thejohnnygold (08 September 2015 - 12:03 AM) Christian Wood has signed with Philly
jorgeaam (07 September 2015 - 10:32 PM) If I'm not wrong, he hasn't been waived yet, they have until october 4th to do that
cointurtlemoose (07 September 2015 - 05:39 PM) Anyone else surprised that Kostas hasn't gotten picked up by anyone yet? I wanna see that guy play somewhere
redfaithful (05 September 2015 - 10:48 PM) Llull line from today loss to Serbia: 30MIN 1-10PG, 0-5 3PG, 4-4FT 6AST, 1TO, 4REB, +/- -11
Losthief (03 September 2015 - 02:27 AM) this dude's gun fired and all he got a misdemeanor at bush lol: http://abc13.com/new...ush-iah/815795/
Losthief (03 September 2015 - 02:26 AM) theres more articles all over, but the jist is houston (and texas) doesn't really arrest for it, they just recommend you leave it in your car when they catch it. So seems dwight got lucky he was in texas and not cali or the NE.
Losthief (03 September 2015 - 02:22 AM) honestly we should just be glad they caught it...
Losthief (03 September 2015 - 02:21 AM) response: http://nymag.com/dai...n_airplane.html
Losthief (03 September 2015 - 01:42 AM) one bullet left in the chamber is diff than fully loaded and ready to go. Still stupid...but not like he was prepared for a shooting spree.

Guest (13 September 2015 - 05:24 PM) Sad to see Moses pass. I don't remember watching him as a Rocket but I do remember his Philly and Hawks teams. He was the perfect man to mentor Dream. It's a very sad day for his family and friends and there are many.
Guest (13 August 2015 - 08:54 PM) I'm good with the Rockets schedule, especially how the end is gravy, mostly. On another note the Mavs just picked up Javale McGee which I find pretty comical.
Guest (20 July 2015 - 01:49 AM) It's done, Lawson is in for almost nothing really. Morey is a genius taking advantage Denver at their weakest.
Guest (16 July 2015 - 10:20 PM) It was a good ride but the Rockets can do better than Smith who would have had a decreased role with less injuries next year.
Guest (12 July 2015 - 09:38 PM) Marcus Thorton to the Rockets on a one year deal. I like this.
Guest (11 July 2015 - 04:57 PM) Dallas fans are hilarious. On some Mavs boards there are extended conversations about them being a top four Western Conference team or knocking the Clippers out of the playoffs which are not possible as I see it. If they were to have problems with injuries (Mathews, Dirk, Williams, Parsons) I don't see them doing much besides hovering around .500 during the regular season and not even sniff the playoffs.
Guest (10 July 2015 - 02:37 PM) The hometown thing, could be a good PR move/ride into Dallas looking like a good guy and maybe he just needs a fresh start. Plus the writing is on the wall in Brooklyn, they will be cleaning house and I doubt he wants to end up in Philly or some undesirable place beyond his control.
Guest (10 July 2015 - 01:36 PM) I'd guess a one year deal to prove his worth and because Dallas actually believes they can get Durant, what a joke! If they sign Williams up long term that would be hilarious!
Guest (10 July 2015 - 01:15 PM) Get this. Now the Mavs are pursuing Deron "No Ankles" Williams who has made it known he wants to be released by the Nets. Cuban and the Mavs are a crapshow.
Guest (09 July 2015 - 12:54 AM) Looks like Jordan is going with the Clips who are attempting to block a meeting with Cuban and other Mavs according to Stein. This is crazy.
Guest (08 July 2015 - 09:37 PM) Wow, I don't know which is sweeter the Clippers getting worse or Dallas going up in flames. Probably Dallas imploding since we know Doc the GM will ruin LA in short order.
Guest (07 July 2015 - 05:04 PM) @johnnygold Maybe but then again I'd guess the pickup might have to do with corner three's in some way, percentage or passing to.
Guest (06 July 2015 - 05:57 PM) Agreed. It'll probably be someone we are not expecting again.
Guest (06 July 2015 - 03:53 PM) Also guys, I heard Jonathan Feigan the Rockets beat writer on 610 am yesterday say that he thinks Morey doesn't make any moves till in season. I like the move towards stability and I hope Smith comes back.
Guest (06 July 2015 - 03:47 PM) @johnnygold, yup I think they are standing pat which was the plan all along but midway through the season if they can pick up some point guard insurance it will help relieve James and in the playoffs right?
Guest (06 July 2015 - 11:42 AM) Of the remaining point guards I like Norris Cole.
Guest (04 July 2015 - 03:03 AM) The Kings got Rondo, ha!
Guest (03 July 2015 - 07:55 PM) I dunno, I think for the Cavs 16 is fine for Thompson but maybe not other teams. Looks like the Mavs are getting Jordan which I don't really like but may be okay now that I think about it. The Clippers get worse and the Mavs prolong the inevitable and will still be a fringe playoff team.
Guest (03 July 2015 - 01:16 PM) I'm okay with that. He probably won't last long but I like how the Mavs fans are all happy and claiming it's great value. Funny stuff.
Guest (02 July 2015 - 08:19 PM) I'm definitely enjoying the Lakers fall as well.
Guest (02 July 2015 - 07:29 PM) I gotta admit I'm enjoying watching the Blazers implode and their fans losing it.
Guest (22 June 2015 - 03:02 AM) I watched that game again yesterday. How amazing was it? One of the top 25 best Rocket games ever right?
Guest (10 June 2015 - 03:38 AM) I am looking forward to the Warriors losing so much.
Guest (28 May 2015 - 07:08 PM) I can't make it but I thought I'd post that for the Houston guys.
Guest (28 May 2015 - 07:07 PM) From the Red Rowdies: Do you want to greet the Rockets today as they arrive back? Go to 8402 Nelms Houston, TX 77061 around 3:30 ‪#‎Support‬
Guest (28 May 2015 - 04:57 AM) What a year! It's a great time to be a Rockets fan!
Guest (26 May 2015 - 04:59 AM) It's obvious Harden has taken another step this postseason. The dude is going to be even better next year. Amazing.
Guest (24 May 2015 - 03:55 PM) Don't get me wrong, I hope they can come back and be competitive but the lack of talent/production from the 1 and 4 in this series really makes it hard on Harden/Howard.
Guest (24 May 2015 - 03:53 PM) 36% shooting from Smith/Jones tandem and sub 30% from Terry/Prigioni who also can't defend in this matchup is a recipe for a sweep.
Guest (24 May 2015 - 02:16 PM) I actually went out last night for game three, Griff's in Montrose. By the second half everybody in that bar was so down, it was a rough night.
Guest (23 May 2015 - 12:30 AM) I agree with you SadLakerFan. I don't believe a timeout would have been a good idea. Everything points to the decision that was made being the right one and just because the outcome was a failure doesn't mean it wasn't the best scenario.
Guest (22 May 2015 - 04:53 AM) The 5 always trails and always gets the ball as he crosses half court, I believe it was kind of a habit pass. Harden should have just decisively gone right initially and Ariza probably would have had an open corner three. Harden and co. are still learning.
Guest (21 May 2015 - 02:02 AM) Bogut is for the most part an illegal screener but it's all in the game yo. The Rockets need to toughen up.
Guest (20 May 2015 - 04:37 AM) I like this Rockets game despite the parts they came up short in. I think this should be a competive series. Rockets have length to match the Warriors and are peaking at the right time.
Guest (20 May 2015 - 04:29 AM) Curry looks a little stunned or something in the post game interview and press conference.
Guest (17 May 2015 - 10:24 PM) How sweet it is! (This team has met my minimum expectations in dramatic fashion now let's see these guys max out there potential)
Guest (17 May 2015 - 10:09 PM) Ariza! Ok I'm good!!!
Guest (17 May 2015 - 10:08 PM) I'm nervous.
Guest (17 May 2015 - 08:02 PM) I'm cautiously excited guys. This season, what a ride. I'm loving this Harden era.
Guest (17 May 2015 - 07:24 PM) Let's!!! Goooooo!!! Rockets!!!
Guest (15 May 2015 - 06:28 AM) Woohoo Rockets! Good job by Howard and the bench. McHale was better than Doc again too.
Guest (13 May 2015 - 02:11 PM) Making a joke of Coaches name is kind of short sided and simple view but hey that's how it goes.
Guest (13 May 2015 - 03:59 AM) Jet! Capela! Now defense!!!
Guest (13 May 2015 - 03:29 AM) Here's one of those stretches where the opposing team goes on a run. Now is the time for the Rockets to stop it and start their own run. Defense is paramount.
Guest (13 May 2015 - 03:00 AM) Rockets have to step up their intensity because the Clippers are about to turn it up.
Guest (13 May 2015 - 01:57 AM) Good, starting 5 adjustment and game plan. Up to the players to bring the desperation and take care of the ball.
Guest (09 May 2015 - 05:05 AM) Smith and Jones have been liabilities this series so far, Motiejunas and his grit is surely missed. I also believe the defense in large part has been lazy and/or too risky. When the shots weren't going down they could have gone to Howard a little more.
Guest (09 May 2015 - 04:52 AM) I like how my Rockets app still says 76 to 84.
Guest (09 May 2015 - 04:42 AM) Harden and company should punch Rivers out of embarrassment considering the soft defense they're playing on him. This is one of those runs that I've been talking about, poor defense and no ball movement. It's horrible.
Guest (07 May 2015 - 04:50 AM) Pretty good turn around midway through the third quarter. Way to go Rockets!
Guest (07 May 2015 - 04:02 AM) The Rockets look just a little too happy to be up a couple possessions in game 2 of a series where they are down. A lot of time still left.
Guest (07 May 2015 - 03:46 AM) Clippers look like they're running out of gas, except Crawford. That jump ball was funny stuff.
Guest (07 May 2015 - 03:19 AM) Are the Rockets playing better with Harden on the bench? I'm considering both ends.
Guest (05 May 2015 - 11:22 PM) Thanks for staying positive johnnygold!
Guest (05 May 2015 - 11:22 PM) Look part of me is positive and you all know I usually am. On top of that I've been one of the biggest Harden defenders here since he joined the team and as a long time Rockets fan I reserve the right to complain every once in awhile.
Guest (05 May 2015 - 03:38 PM) I'm not giving up on them just forecasting from what I see (not that anyone cares). Maybe game 1 is the wake up call they need. I'm rewatching the game right now and in the 2nd quarter there is just too much celebrating, this team is still maturing.
Guest (05 May 2015 - 05:59 AM) I noticed since the game in Chicago at the beginning of January this Rockets team spots teams big runs in the last 18 minutes of games. Large runs happen and go unanswered.
Guest (05 May 2015 - 05:08 AM) I hope Harden and co. come out aggressive in game 2 but I'm not sure they will. I've thought that this Rockets team would have some serious heartbreak again this post season and come back better next year.
Guest (05 May 2015 - 04:42 AM) It looks like Harden is about to get his ass kicked around again, I was hoping it would be in the Conference Finals. I have been thinking this post season would be another tough lesson for him.
Guest (05 May 2015 - 04:29 AM) I'm embarrassed for the Rockets effort and attention to detail tonight. Harden was a huge disappointment. James and Josh looked overconfident and lazy. I think the Rockets are losing this series in 5 or 6. Howard can't do this alone.
Guest (29 April 2015 - 04:28 AM) Anyway, yeeeeaaahhhhh way to go Rockets!!!
Guest (29 April 2015 - 04:27 AM) I thought it was kind of funny but then again people are uptight. Considering all the serious things going on in the world right now how are something called emojis considered classless. Folks need to get a grip, it's a game.
Guest (27 April 2015 - 01:23 AM) So annoying, Reggie whiner doing colour commentary.
Guest (26 April 2015 - 01:08 PM) This has now moved officially beyond the rumour mill with Woj dropping this http://sports.yahoo....-084241791.html , Spurs will continue to be elite when Aldridge signs.
Guest (24 April 2015 - 06:02 PM) Flop of the post season award so far goes to Draymond Green! http://probasketball...ter-flop-video/
Guest (22 April 2015 - 11:50 PM) Eventful day in the NBA.
Guest (20 April 2015 - 03:47 PM) You alright there rocketrick, you come across out of sorts or something.
Guest (20 April 2015 - 01:53 PM) So here is a little wild speculation. Would Aldridge go to San Antonio and take over the reins for Duncan?
Guest (19 April 2015 - 07:20 PM) The intentional foul on Rondo was made so McHale could make substitutions.
Guest (19 April 2015 - 04:56 AM) Woot woot!
Guest (16 April 2015 - 03:08 AM) Gooooo Rockets!!! (I just got home from work)
Guest (13 April 2015 - 09:21 PM) I still think he is better suited to being a back up and his value in the post season would be immense in certain matchups but he needs to get there, healthy.
Guest (13 April 2015 - 07:32 PM) Beverley said he plans to come back May 18th when his cast comes off (if the Rockets are in the playoffs) via Fox Sports' Mark Berman this morning.
Guest (11 April 2015 - 02:47 AM) The NBA needs a "final play review" policy. I don't see what the problem would be with it, they want to get it right, right?
Guest (08 April 2015 - 12:56 PM) I think the Rockets can split with SA. Leonard might neutralize Harden but Dwight and the Rocket bigs should swing a game.
Guest (06 April 2015 - 04:31 AM) I fully understand the Carlisle factor but it seems that there is something rotten in Dallas. I'm not convinced that ownership, Carlisle and the leading players are on the same page. Despite that I know they are dangerous but I don't think as much in a matchup with the Rockets.
Guest (05 April 2015 - 02:55 AM) If Dwight is 75% for the first round and they get Dallas I think the Rockets could destroy them.
Guest (05 April 2015 - 02:54 AM) Yesssss!!!
Guest (03 April 2015 - 10:36 PM) Here's a list of guys in the last week or two that are putting a Harden as the MVP: Windhorst, Legler, Simmons, Thorpe, Johnson, Jackson, Smith, Patt, Sheridan and a few others I can remember right now. Forget Strauss!
Guest (03 April 2015 - 05:42 PM) That piece is by Ethan Sherwood Strauss, the Warriors Truehoop beat writer and he has been for Curry all year. He openly admits to being a Warriors fan.
Guest (31 March 2015 - 12:16 AM) Could we be witnessing the CLINT CAPELA GAME?!?
Guest (30 March 2015 - 11:31 PM) Yes
Guest (30 March 2015 - 06:12 PM) Beverley is opting for surgery on the ligament so will be out for the season including the playoffs per Jonathan Fagen if The Chronicle.
Guest (30 March 2015 - 02:36 AM) I don't think that will happen till the last game or so. McHale, Finch and JB have done a good job this year and I trust them.
Guest (30 March 2015 - 01:15 AM) Rockets move into 2nd in the Western Conference with today's win and the Grizzlies loss in San Antonio!!!
Guest (27 March 2015 - 08:51 PM) Unfortunately for Durant he is out for 4-6 months and will undergo a bone graft surgery. Tough break for him and hopefully he comes back 100% next year which could potentially be his last year in OKC.
Guest (25 March 2015 - 08:22 PM) Dwight back is great news but how he recovers from the 20 minutes he ends up getting tonight is what I'm holding my breath for.
Guest (24 March 2015 - 01:57 AM) What do I know? Good thing Smith taped up that ankle and took the court.
Guest (23 March 2015 - 07:29 PM) Okay so I originally thought it was good news but now I'm thinking Josh should let it heal but what do I know not much. Here's the link from Creech: http://blog.chron.co...ts-injury-list/
Guest (23 March 2015 - 04:08 PM) No Paul George tonight so there's that and Smith looks out for the Rockets. If Howard and Smith can return Wednesday it would be huge for the Rockets.
Guest (20 March 2015 - 06:52 PM) If a minor case he could be back for the playoffs if more serious then he is finished for the season. Tough year for Terrence.
Guest (20 March 2015 - 06:49 PM) Medical opinion on what Jones may have by Dr Chao https://twitter.com/...989418926616576
Guest (19 March 2015 - 06:12 PM) Yup and hopefully they go down to that frisky Orlando team and then lose on the back to back end against Memphis. I'd be happy if the Blazers went on a losing streak.
Guest (15 March 2015 - 10:31 PM) Agreed, Ariza looked good today.
Guest (15 March 2015 - 10:16 PM) Should they foul Jordan?
Guest (11 March 2015 - 02:44 AM) Dallas getting destroyed by the Cavs, that's pretty good entertainment for a Rockets night off.
Guest (07 March 2015 - 08:21 AM) I enjoy seeing Dallas unravel.
Guest (06 March 2015 - 02:52 PM) I agree johnnygold, maybe. You never know maybe the other Blazers rally and with Affalo able to slip in maybe there's no drop off. If the Rockets face Portland I would have liked to see Harden carve up Matthews but I guess we will have to wait till another time.
Guest (04 March 2015 - 03:14 AM) Good first 40 minutes and hopefully these rotation players have learned something about crunch time execution and effort.
Guest (03 March 2015 - 05:22 AM) I like that James will be fresh for Memphis which is more important than Atlanta.
Guest (02 March 2015 - 11:03 AM) Wouldn't bring McGee in, no way.
Guest (02 March 2015 - 12:32 AM) Amazing game! Great Rockets win.
Guest (25 February 2015 - 05:28 AM) That's unfortunate he is going down again.
Guest (23 February 2015 - 08:49 PM) I agree Yaoman and I am certain Terry gets the start but hopefully we will see Pablo get some run. His shot charts are interesting.
Guest (23 February 2015 - 08:47 PM) Jenny Dial Creech posted the news regarding Beverley about 3 hours ago.
Guest (23 February 2015 - 08:44 PM) Beverley questionable to play tonight, left shoot around a few hours ago with flu like symptoms.
Guest (19 February 2015 - 10:17 PM) That's a good way to put it, maybe Pablo will surprise like Terry while blending in thus adding to team chemistry.
Guest (19 February 2015 - 05:42 PM) I am not sure about that. Seems like Dragic has been screwed over for awhile in Phoenix. I gotta side with the working man, that's my M.O.
Guest (18 February 2015 - 08:22 PM) I wonder how Beverley will take getting moved to the bench, if he is still here. I hope he can transition to the bench smoothly though he doesn't do much smoothly.
Guest (13 February 2015 - 04:59 PM) Could this Lin talk just be something to throw folks off from the real target, Dragic?
Guest (11 February 2015 - 04:13 AM) Good win for a pretty good road team, go Rockets!
Guest (11 February 2015 - 01:49 AM) Rockets have 41 points and are destroying the Suns, I'm a strange mixture of excitement and nervousness.
Guest (09 February 2015 - 09:53 PM) Capela and Johnson have been called up to join the Rockets today.
Guest (09 February 2015 - 02:38 AM) Streaky defensive intensity is what frustrated me.
Guest (09 February 2015 - 01:33 AM) Is it me or does Beverley not look fully engaged, mentally? His focus has not seemed to be as good as of late.
Guest (06 February 2015 - 06:57 PM) Beard working that brand on All Star weekend it would appear. Also not much to lose since he is not a favorite.
Guest (05 February 2015 - 03:55 PM) Calm down Rick this is unnecessary and like what you mentioned in the previous comment is inflammatory. Let it go, that's my friendly advice.
Guest (03 February 2015 - 10:08 PM) Nice one jorgeaam
Guest (03 February 2015 - 05:25 PM) Good job dad!
Guest (03 February 2015 - 03:48 AM) Watt?
Guest (02 February 2015 - 01:59 AM) Agreed, those are some horrible games. Were they on ABC or ESPN?
Guest (01 February 2015 - 06:14 AM) I am glad Harden played through whatever happened and played like a man on a mission.
Guest (26 January 2015 - 04:39 AM) These fourth quarter runs (and late third quarter ones too) that the Rockets give up are getting me worried. A bad development since the end of December that I've been noticing.
Guest (24 January 2015 - 04:54 AM) Beard!!!
Guest (24 January 2015 - 02:17 AM) Howard for three! Three! Three!
Guest (22 January 2015 - 06:09 AM) Looks like we should have seen more Brewer and Dorsey and less Ariza and Smith. I wonder what impact Jones could have had.
Guest (22 January 2015 - 05:57 AM) Jet!!!
Guest (22 January 2015 - 05:38 AM) Harden can't do it alone. The Warriors are just better right now on most nights. I think the Rockets are about a year behind the Warriors when it comes to continuity.
Guest (15 January 2015 - 03:52 AM) What happened? I just got home from work and see the Rockets lost to Orlando.
Guest (09 January 2015 - 08:38 PM) Right, I wonder if Melo thought about his Houston visit, probably not but still. I was riding backseat in the Melo bandwagon last summer but I'm glad that didn't happen, I think, mostly.
Guest (09 January 2015 - 04:55 PM) Plus I like watching Fish squirm and Jackson look foolish when they're across the court facing the Rockets.
Guest (09 January 2015 - 04:53 PM) For me any time the Rockets can destroy New York it brings me joy, 1994 seems like not long ago in my basketball memory.
Guest (07 January 2015 - 03:29 PM) Have fun bboley! Don't forget your Rockets socks!
Guest (03 January 2015 - 02:43 AM) I'm guessing the team flew in to NOLA yesterday, watched bowl games, hit Temptations and Hustler Club and now are more hungover than hell. Damn them!
Guest (26 December 2014 - 11:44 PM) I am just finishing up the GS Clips game and the Warriors look pretty weak without Bogut. It's just one game but I'm not impressed by their attempt to circle the wagons.
Guest (24 December 2014 - 05:39 PM) Right, not a good Christmas surprise for my friend rockets best fan.
Guest (24 December 2014 - 04:50 PM) Just in from Stein, McHale gets big three year deal with no team options.
Guest (24 December 2014 - 04:49 PM) I hear you Yaoman , at least Dallas and GS lost.
Guest (24 December 2014 - 06:42 AM) Totally enjoyed the Lakeshow taking the Warriors down, if only the Thunder could have held on.
Guest (24 December 2014 - 04:07 AM) I am loving Phoenix destroying the Mavs.
Guest (24 December 2014 - 03:25 AM) Anybody watching the Thunder Blazers? Lillard just shot the same three that beat the Rockets last year. Their defense on the play looked worse than the Rockets defense that everyone killed them for here on the Forum.
Guest (19 December 2014 - 08:32 PM) This is good news and hopefully Brewer slips right in.
Guest (12 December 2014 - 04:12 PM) Good win by the Rockets last night with some impressive defensive stretches.
Guest (07 December 2014 - 04:46 AM) Beverley is still a game changer for the Rockets, good to see him back on the court.
Guest (05 December 2014 - 10:28 PM) I also enjoy how Lowe classifies the different sources of Rockets dislike regarding different aspects of the Rockets (Morey analytics, Dwight's recent history, Harden's ability to get fouls).
Guest (05 December 2014 - 10:25 PM) If anyone listens to the Lowe Post podcast with Zach Lowe and Ethan Strauss check out the Rockets talk around 1:05:00. I like how Strauss frankly states that the media doesn't talk about the Rockets because most don't like Houston.
Guest (30 November 2014 - 02:04 AM) I'm so glad there will be no Clyde on the call tonight. I think he's getting worse if that's possible.
Guest (23 November 2014 - 03:58 AM) Talk about surviving on defense and Harden delivering! Rockets beat the Mavs!
Guest (23 November 2014 - 12:22 AM) Big man down, I repeat the big man is down! http://blog.chron.co...nee/#27967101=0
Guest (21 November 2014 - 05:26 PM) jorgeaam, it's called self deprecation. It doesn't mean he's ok with people making jokes rather it's a sign of having a sense of humour regarding his defense and hthe hoopla surrounding it. On the court he has clearly shown he is not ok with the ridicule.
Guest (17 November 2014 - 02:50 PM) Not Ronnie Brewer, Corey Brewer, the guy who lit up the Rockets for over 50 points last year. He is a defensive swing guy who can get streaky from outside and get baskets in transition.
Guest (17 November 2014 - 01:09 PM) Or Canaan for Brewer perhaps?
Guest (17 November 2014 - 12:41 PM) Maybe it was a combination of McHale liking Beverley against OKC and saving Canaan for Memphis, probably not but maybe something like that.
Guest (14 November 2014 - 09:09 PM) No stat is cool if it ends with a Mavs win, just kidding. Good luck to your Lakers tonight SadLakerFan.
Guest (13 November 2014 - 05:50 AM) Maybe he is the Rockets Vinnie Johnson but then again I'm starting to think Canaan could start and Beverley could be that hyperactive defensive specialist off the bench.
Guest (09 November 2014 - 01:45 PM) I agree that it's not a terribly important game, the Rockets were bound to lose a box score eventually but on the court this team defense looked good and the rotation players benifitted from bigger roles.
Guest (05 November 2014 - 03:03 PM) Donatas played some good defense in spots, that's what the Rockets need from him in addition to rebounds and ball movement.
Guest (02 November 2014 - 01:36 PM) Their offense looks fine considering what point of the season it is but for me the question is whether this team can defend better, that is the next step. If this team can make defensive improvements the Golden States and Portlands of the West shouldn't be much of a problem.
Guest (01 November 2014 - 01:08 PM) I'll start a topic for this.
Guest (01 November 2014 - 01:08 PM) Sure it's fun to make a list of the best players out there and imagining have them join the Rockets but I just don't see the draw for Davis. I would think he resigns with NOLA and after that there's his hometown of Chicago plus the big markets like NY and LA that would be ahead if Houston.
Guest (31 October 2014 - 08:38 PM) Hey, Davis would be nice too. I just see the Durant and Harden connection as something that gives Morey somewhere to work from.
Guest (31 October 2014 - 12:57 PM) More fuel for the Durant dream.
Guest (31 October 2014 - 02:35 AM) Love's defense on that JR Smith drive was laughable.
Guest (27 October 2014 - 10:13 PM) Just wanted to say thanks and good luck to all the forum members in the Red94 Fantasy Basketball League. Also, don't forget to get your lineups ready tomorrow and if you have time get rolling on your team image. Have fun!
Guest (22 October 2014 - 07:43 PM) I'm not terribly interested in the 17 to 13 vote that occurred regarding the Lottery. There's my vote.
Guest (22 October 2014 - 06:59 PM) Also, one team left to register on the Red94 Fantasy Basketball League, if you haven't checked your email please go ahead and get that rolling. Get your draft orders ready for Sunday.
Guest (22 October 2014 - 06:56 PM) Dwight and James both earned the number 1 spot at their respective positions according to votes cast by NBA General Managers. It sure is great to have some elite players in Houston again.
Guest (12 October 2014 - 03:52 PM) Getting to the Finals and winning has become a few levels more difficult for the Thunder.
Guest (12 October 2014 - 03:37 PM) Kevin Durant out for 6 to 8 weeks, fracture in foot.
Guest (10 October 2014 - 04:35 PM) Also as a reminder to any of you interested in joining us in the Red94 Fantasy Basketball League be sure to check here http://www.red94.net...ge-2#entry44420
Guest (10 October 2014 - 04:33 PM) It's nothing, he just knocked knees during practice if I'm not mistaken. If it was the regular season he probably would have played.
Guest (10 October 2014 - 01:47 AM) When CSN made their cuts I wish they would have let Clyde go.
Guest (10 October 2014 - 01:37 AM) I think McHale just winked at Black on that rebound.
Guest (10 October 2014 - 12:56 AM) I'm liking Beverley's activity on the offensive side.
Guest (08 October 2014 - 01:36 PM) (cont) gets cut but hangs around to fill the end of the bench if the bench gets traded.
Guest (08 October 2014 - 01:35 PM) Speaking of bigs I like what I saw from Adrien. He may be undersized but perhaps he could hold his own against second units. I agree Black
Guest (07 October 2014 - 11:09 PM) I am looking forward to some of the bench guys getting quality playing time. I wish the game was on TV tonight.
Guest (15 September 2014 - 09:01 PM) Okay, I may have been a little harsh down below in my earlier comments but at the very least I agree with Bird, Paul George's comments were thoughtless. Thanks for the link jorgeaam.
Guest (12 September 2014 - 02:42 PM) Kind of cool of Fran Fraschilla to acknowledge his false color commentary (on twitter today) during yesterdays game about what D-Mo jokingly said about Harden not eating with the team.
Guest (11 September 2014 - 05:49 PM) After this morning Paul George doesn't look too good in the court of public opinion. He seems to come off more and more as a douchebag with very low ethical beliefs.
Guest (31 August 2014 - 09:31 PM) I don't mind Terry, it's a low cost gamble. I do like the 2 second rounders Morey acquired.
Guest (31 August 2014 - 09:30 PM) Harden looked good once he got past the foul trouble and Coach K put the ball in his hands unlike the first half.
Guest (31 August 2014 - 09:01 PM) Woj reporting Kings working on deal to send Jason Terry to Rockets.
Guest (30 August 2014 - 03:26 PM) Just a reminder to everyone interested that Team USA plays Finland today at 2:30 central time on ESPN.
Guest (14 August 2014 - 11:31 PM) Players could get hurt at any time and they play all summer. On Team USA they have the best courts, coaches and trainers so to me it's pretty clear that I'd rather have Harden on USA than playing the Drew.
Guest (22 July 2014 - 02:54 AM) 21% on three pointers by Canaan and company, damn.
Guest (22 July 2014 - 02:51 AM) Rockets Summer Leaguers shot 32%, rough ending.
Guest (15 July 2014 - 05:43 PM) I believe Morey said in the last Euroleague championship Dorsey earned top defensive accolades per Feigen.
Guest (15 July 2014 - 03:10 PM) The Rockets are going to be much better without Parsons, good luck to him in Dallas (except when they play the Rockets of course).
Guest (15 July 2014 - 02:15 PM) If you actually think about Parsons saying he was offended it's just ridiculous. If Parsons considers himself on Anthony and Bosh's level he is crazy. I started to have my doubts about him this past season anyway, poor decision making and poor shot selection.
Guest (15 July 2014 - 12:54 PM) Think about this guys. When Parsons said he was offended my guess that is what Fagan has coached him to believe. The Rockets did nothing to offend him. Fagan played Cuban against Morey and Parsons and Fagan win big.
Guest (14 July 2014 - 02:39 AM) Ah Rolling Wave now that Jeremy Lin is gone they'll probably win about 30 extra games. 10 to 20, come on.
Guest (14 July 2014 - 02:19 AM) Yup oh well. On to filling the roster with bench players that hopefully mesh well. What happens on the court is what matters so we'll see.
Guest (14 July 2014 - 02:15 AM) Unfortunately Dallas called off the talks so there won't be an exception per Stein and Feigen confirmed it.
Guest (13 July 2014 - 11:53 PM) I don't always agree with you rockets best fan but when I do I completely agree with you sir. Matching Parson's offer would have smelt of desperation and that isn't Morey 's style.
Guest (13 July 2014 - 10:17 PM) This is going to an interesting season.
Guest (13 July 2014 - 09:53 PM) Thank you to you lawprofsr. You have been a thoughtful and considerate member and I wish you the best. Good luck to Lin and the Lakers unless they are playing the Rockets! Farewell!
Guest (12 July 2014 - 10:14 PM) It's going to be okay Rahat...
Guest (12 July 2014 - 09:54 PM) Ariza and Harden are friends supposedly. Y'all remember the motorboating after Harden hit that game winner at the buzzer?
Guest (12 July 2014 - 09:37 PM) Or as the chatter goes, get Parsons back and play lots of small ball, poor Dwight.
Guest (12 July 2014 - 09:33 PM) Okay, so Parsons isn't back and how much does that leave to get anyone else besides bringing last years guys back.
Guest (12 July 2014 - 08:49 PM) Right RudyT, I'd say the Cavs, Akron, Cleveland, Ohio and the NBA. Those are some big winners.
Guest (12 July 2014 - 02:47 PM) I'm glad Gasol didn't join the Spurs or the Thunder. Spurs and Thunder stay about the same as strong contenders,Clippers improve slightly, Portland and the Warriors do nothing of consequence. All the upheaval is in the East.
Guest (12 July 2014 - 01:19 AM) Anything with Harden going out and Rondo as the best piece coming in is horrible.
Guest (12 July 2014 - 01:19 AM) That would be a horrible trade for the Rockets. Come on, visitors come to our Forum so let's not look like we are crazy.
Guest (12 July 2014 - 01:12 AM) The problem with Rondo is in the front office. Ainge won't take what Morey has offered and Morey won't up it to what Ainge wants. The teams will never get past that and Rondo will probably not ever be a Rocket. Move on.
Guest (11 July 2014 - 11:56 PM) Look guys, Bosh is 30, he and his family love Miami, he lives there now, he will be heralded as a hero, he gets more guaranteed money and he has his rings.
Guest (11 July 2014 - 11:55 PM) Whatever, no one said Houston is on the list of desirable destinations but Houston is a player with a bright future, that cannot be denied.
Guest (11 July 2014 - 11:52 PM) You doubt it, no way!
Guest (11 July 2014 - 11:49 PM) Face facts? Get out of here QNoir? Sure you're the guy that's going to help us face facts, what a joke.
Guest (11 July 2014 - 11:45 PM) I'm sure hundreds of players would want to play with the Rockets All NBA first team guard James Harden.
Guest (11 July 2014 - 07:52 PM) JVG on 790AM in Houston for you Houston guys.
Guest (11 July 2014 - 05:35 PM) Goodbye Jeremy Lin! Hello Chris Bosh! Let's go Rockets!
Guest (11 July 2014 - 04:54 PM) What an amazing story LeBron is, wow.
Guest (11 July 2014 - 01:48 AM) Smells of desperation to me.
Guest (09 July 2014 - 11:01 PM) Or maybe it means Bosh is joining the Rockets.
Guest (09 July 2014 - 10:58 PM) So Bosh isn't happening?
Guest (09 July 2014 - 10:57 PM) Mavs offer three year 45 million contract which he will supposedly sign tomorrow, per Steinymo.
Guest (09 July 2014 - 10:24 PM) No set timetable.
Guest (09 July 2014 - 08:25 PM) Sheridan is guessing 90%. No Miami reporters are saying he is staying today like they had before. I think it's up in the air with signs pointing to Cleveland. It's all crazy whichever way it goes.
Guest (09 July 2014 - 05:08 PM) My hope is Bosh takes a two year deal in anticipation of the new CBA and then the Morey can pitch something for Durant to join Harden. It's my total long shot Durant Dream which I should let go.
Guest (09 July 2014 - 04:13 PM) Bosh needs to hurry up and verbally commit to Morey's offer.
Guest (08 July 2014 - 08:39 PM) Congratulations on the addition.
Guest (07 July 2014 - 07:41 PM) Granger to Miami just reported by Woj, and so the safe bet is James and Bosh stay.
Guest (07 July 2014 - 07:22 PM) McRoberts verbally commits to Heat for a four year deal. Is this what keeps James and Bosh? Wow...
Guest (06 July 2014 - 06:02 PM) So Riles and Spo are meeting with Marvin Williams and are in contact with Morrow and Humphries. Is everything being held up by the Heat's shopping?
Guest (05 July 2014 - 07:00 PM) Possible side effect of Bosh coming to Houston could be Anthony joining Heat right?
Guest (05 July 2014 - 04:49 PM) For those of you that do not have League Pass I would suggest trying the free trial to watch the Summer League games. Rockets are on at 2 PM Central time.
Guest (04 July 2014 - 07:02 PM) The players on the Rockets that need to know Morey and McHale's focus and long term goals are informed upon those subjects I would presume.
Guest (04 July 2014 - 02:52 PM) I'm guessing that means no Anthony to Chicago, what do y'all think?
Guest (04 July 2014 - 01:40 PM) Mirotic bought out by Bulls.
Guest (03 July 2014 - 07:31 PM) Defender Thabo Sefalosha to the Hawks.
Guest (03 July 2014 - 05:34 PM) They are beginning to get priced out of the free agent market as well. Their past tells me they have a plan though.
Guest (03 July 2014 - 03:09 AM) There goes Lowry, stays with the Raptors. Good for Toronto.
Guest (02 July 2014 - 07:29 PM) Correct, Rockets beat writers reported they met for lunch at a River Oaks eatery.
Guest (02 July 2014 - 05:58 PM) Anthony has left the building.
Guest (02 July 2014 - 05:05 PM) There is chatter that the Sixers and Rockets are discussing moving Lin to Philadelphia.
Guest (02 July 2014 - 04:01 PM) Melo has entered Toyota Center.
Guest (02 July 2014 - 02:50 PM) So at Toyota Center the Melo banner is up and it shows him wearing 7. Hmmmmm...
Guest (02 July 2014 - 02:49 PM) Kind of expected, Hollins is one of the best and he was confident he would get a head coaching job I am certain.
Guest (30 June 2014 - 04:14 PM) I have seen that there are personal connections between Kidd and Bucks ownership if I am not mistaken. Also, in this modern NBA a coach is as much a recruiter as he is a in game coach so take that however you will.
Guest (29 June 2014 - 03:01 PM) Overnight Spears reported if Golden State doesn't pull the trigger on Love then Minnesota covets Parsons and will engage Houston in a sign and trade with Love coming to Houston. It appears the Rockets first choice would be Anthony though. Both teams have each other as backup.
Guest (28 June 2014 - 08:24 PM) The Heat stays together but I still don't believe Melo joins them. Lowry joins the Heat right?
Guest (28 June 2014 - 03:59 PM) NBC is reporting Haslem has opted out. Looks like he is restructuring with Bosh and Wade soon to follow. At this point looks like the Heat stay the same and add a guy or two. Bucher might have jumped the gun on Lowry but could still be right.
Guest (26 June 2014 - 04:31 PM) Windhorst reports Orlando plans to move Afflalo to Denver for Fournier and the 56th pick. http://espn.go.com/n...cording-sources
Guest (26 June 2014 - 03:06 AM) The Southwest Division will be even more brutal than it already is.
Guest (26 June 2014 - 02:54 AM) It will be a formidable front court and would appear that New Orleans is going all in. I guess they believe they will be able to resign Asik, seems tricky but I don't know the particulars.
Guest (18 June 2014 - 03:22 AM) I don't think LeBron wants anything to do with the Western Conference.
Guest (18 June 2014 - 03:20 AM) http://www.usatoday....gency/10697027/
Guest (18 June 2014 - 12:24 AM) Veterans minimum for Wade, that seems extreme. Wade will be okay for a couple more years in a more limited role. He needs to lose weight, adjust his work outs and change his diet to get to his new norm. Saying that I wouldn't want him on a team I'm a fan of.
Guest (15 June 2014 - 03:15 AM) You're probably right Buckko and it probably wouldn't fly with Presti either.
Guest (14 June 2014 - 04:00 PM) How about Durant forces a trade to the Rockets during the '15-'16 season and comes to join Harden then I believe Dwight decides to finish his career as a Rocket. Of course this is wild speculation I call the Durant Dream, because it's a pipe dream right?
Guest (11 June 2014 - 02:50 PM) Well yes RollingWave, we all get that. I don't believe we were expecting the inside scoop but Cowherd is just a clown. If anyone listens to the interview one realizes the Cowherd intro for Morey is about as bad as it gets.
Guest (06 June 2014 - 11:05 PM) Agreed, Cowherd is one of the worst on ESPN radio. I can barely stomach his commentary.
Guest (04 June 2014 - 04:45 PM) Harden First team All NBA, it's only onward and upward from here fellow Rocket fans! https://twitter.com/...5657089/photo/1
Guest (03 June 2014 - 05:32 PM) I know he's got a lot of work to do to step up his defense and conditioning but what I wrote below was more about his synergy stats, you know the facts, not really defending him. He needs to step up himself.
Guest (03 June 2014 - 01:08 PM) Steals seem like the obvious answer right. Harden's defensive critics always overstate the case. Looking at synergy.com I believe Harden only shows to be a poor defender in isolation and in other defensive situations he is average to above average compared to the league.
Guest (01 June 2014 - 03:35 AM) Yessss! Another year and Durant misses the Finals! My Durant dream lives on! (KD comes to Houston to play with his best friend James Harden)
Guest (30 May 2014 - 04:16 AM) I think the Spurs are going to win in Oklahoma City.
Guest (23 May 2014 - 04:36 PM) Morey sounds very positive on McHale, is down on late game execution, is confident the Rockets get a rotation player from this draft and emphasized this upcoming season's focus will be defense.
Guest (23 May 2014 - 03:44 PM) Morey will be on sports radio 610 am in the Houston area at 10:00 this morning (in 15 minutes).
Guest (22 May 2014 - 05:25 PM) Wouldn't the NBA benefit most by having LeBron in one of the large markets?
Guest (21 May 2014 - 03:20 AM) Why would they rig it for the Cavs? Come on guys.
Guest (18 May 2014 - 09:15 PM) Love also said he wants to play for a contender and the Lakers are years away from contending, especially with Jim Buss at the helm.
Guest (18 May 2014 - 07:36 PM) Wojnarowski is reporting that the Rockets will be aggressive in bringing Kevin Love to Houston by way of Kevin McHale's relationship with him. Goodbye Chandler Parsons.
Guest (13 May 2014 - 10:30 PM) When comparing Harden to Kobe and James I would go with year as a starter and those players in their second year had serious flaws, that's the fact. Actually he does give effort on defense, I just watched Games 6 and 5 and there he was defending. Not to mention most of his defensive stats are fine minus defending isolation.
Guest (13 May 2014 - 07:48 PM) I just watched Game 6 again, anyone re-watched it lately?
Guest (13 May 2014 - 06:07 PM) (cont.) new concepts per se but more evolutions of a player that we get to watch as fans. Harden will evolve.
Guest (13 May 2014 - 06:05 PM) New concepts thenit? New concepts eh? Like when LeBron decided to shoot less jumpers and go down low more, was that a new concept? I don't think there are new concept
Guest (12 May 2014 - 08:07 PM) We'll yes, that's obvious but it's a little premature to have George with those guys. He's looked much more second tier. Anyway, I wonder what Harden thought?
Guest (12 May 2014 - 03:17 PM) I wonder what went through Harden's mind when he saw Chris Paul cover Durant in crunch time and together with some stellar team defense turn the game.
Guest (11 May 2014 - 10:30 PM) Y'all are cracking me up over here.
Guest (11 May 2014 - 01:23 PM) Okay rockets best fan, how many months are you going to need to vent? I wasn't really commenting on coaching there.
Guest (11 May 2014 - 06:19 AM) I think the Rockets would have showed better against the Spurs than the Blazers.
Guest (07 May 2014 - 01:05 AM) What was his motto? "No excuses" which is kind of funny now.
Guest (07 May 2014 - 01:04 AM) No matter how good one is or how right for the job one may be if you don't understand organizational politics someone above you will crush you. He knew he'd lost and went out kicking and screaming like baby.
Guest (06 May 2014 - 09:12 PM) I think Jackson got a little full of himself. No matter how good you are at what you do you are going to have a boss. By all accounts he didn't grasp that.
Guest (06 May 2014 - 05:27 PM) Harden ended up 5th in MVP voting, second year starting.
Guest (06 May 2014 - 04:51 PM) I saw that, that's rough. Funny though.
Guest (04 May 2014 - 08:06 PM) Spurs look like like they might destroy Dallas today.
Guest (04 May 2014 - 08:05 PM) Agreed but they got some young up and comers so they have some good years ahead of them.
Guest (04 May 2014 - 05:50 AM) Yessss! The Warriors lose!
Guest (04 May 2014 - 05:07 AM) I want Golden State to lose. I really really want the Warriors to go down tonight.
Guest (03 May 2014 - 06:38 AM) Tough loss guys, I know. I have been watching Rockets ball for about 30 years and this is up there. So let's try to keep it constructive the next few weeks.
Guest (03 May 2014 - 06:36 AM) I kid!
Guest (03 May 2014 - 06:35 AM) So am I understanding correctly? Some of y'all are blaming McHale and believe Jeremy Lin should have been out there? (this seems like a vaguely familiar scenario, hmmmm)
Guest (03 May 2014 - 06:30 AM) I'm pretty sure McHale will be the coach the entire season next year. He has done a solid job.
Guest (03 May 2014 - 06:29 AM) You're totally right Cooper. Fans are going to find something. I believe it was just an amazing shot that was going in hand in his face or not.
Guest (03 May 2014 - 06:24 AM) No way it's on McHale. Sounds like Parsons, and I assume the others, thought that there would be a game seven.
Guest (03 May 2014 - 06:21 AM) No way there was time for a foul to give, come on guys.
Guest (03 May 2014 - 06:15 AM) Parsons quote "It's the worst feeling I have ever had." This team will benefit from this low point, you have to pay your dues.
Guest (03 May 2014 - 06:08 AM) Look, you can turn your back on a person but you can't turn your back on the NBA playoffs. Just kidding, gave a good summer miketheodio.
Guest (03 May 2014 - 06:02 AM) This series was amazing from a basketball standpoint, every game.
Guest (03 May 2014 - 06:00 AM) I remember that 93 playoff series versus the Sonics being pretty amazing, Olajuwon was a Titan. Also, that team came out of that disappointment stronger.
Guest (03 May 2014 - 05:35 AM) What a season! What a playoff series! For me definitely the greatest Rockets playoff series that the Rockets lost. Looking forward to next season. Go Rockets!
Guest (03 May 2014 - 02:14 AM) This Rockets Trailblazers game is coming down to intensity in my opinion. They should know each other and it will be a battle of wills. Go Rockets!
Guest (03 May 2014 - 01:59 AM) Tiago Splitter just dribbled between his legs. Wow.
Guest (30 April 2014 - 01:20 AM) Sorry, I'm biased. I can't stand Reggie. He is great but I don't get his color commentary at all. I like Webber and Jeff on TV and Hubie on the radio broadcast.
Guest (30 April 2014 - 01:17 AM) Melo has got to be sitting at home watching the Bulls and the Rockets and the choice is probably clear right?
Guest (30 April 2014 - 12:33 AM) Personally I think Harden is a hard read and fans are pretty far removed.
Guest (29 April 2014 - 11:33 PM) I follow the Rockets pretty closely as well rocketrick and I have yet to notice any sulking. Sounds like you have a vivid imagination there RudyT.
Guest (29 April 2014 - 07:49 PM) It's not happening but Howard and Griffin would be devastating. Harden would be racking up assists.
Guest (29 April 2014 - 02:53 AM) Any thoughts on Alexander mentioning that all the Clipper players could become free agents to force Sterling's hand.
Guest (28 April 2014 - 06:05 AM) McHale said they all discussed but it shouldn't have even come down to that.
Guest (28 April 2014 - 05:51 AM) During the post game news conference McHale says Lin should have called timeout.
Guest (28 April 2014 - 05:31 AM) I think Daniels would slot in at the 1 if he played alongside Harden but defensively I'm not sure those even work unless they are at the 2 and 3.
Guest (28 April 2014 - 05:22 AM) Yup, I didn't single him out either. I don't care much for either as locked in starters/closers. Need an upgrade there. How about Daniels? I hope he never leaves Houston again.
Guest (28 April 2014 - 05:11 AM) Big man was big down the stretch. I think next year he will be even better.
Guest (28 April 2014 - 05:08 AM) We don't have a point guard on this roster that can close. Maybe one of them can make some serious improvements in the offseason.
Guest (26 April 2014 - 05:51 AM) Go Rockets!!! I like that they beat the Blazers in overtime, hopefully that kills them a little more.
Guest (25 April 2014 - 03:00 PM) Asik plays NBA basketball in a small world whereas Dwight's game encompasses much more. Dwight is smarter about his approach to the game which effects the whole franchise. Asik's sphere of influence would never be half that.
Guest (25 April 2014 - 02:58 PM) Well of course we need another superstar. As to Howard his smarts are improving far beyond lateral defense though Asik may be better. These comparisons to the highest standard aren't really fair.
Guest (25 April 2014 - 02:45 PM) I guess time will tell.
Guest (25 April 2014 - 02:43 PM) It's great to marvel at young greats in their athletic primes but they rarely, almost never win anything that matters, maybe individual awards.
Guest (25 April 2014 - 02:41 PM) Yes Howard will decline athletically and it will effect his numbers if you are stuck on comparing him to his old self but I believe he is improving as a leader and getting smarter about his approach to the game.
Guest (25 April 2014 - 02:40 PM) "He [Howard] already peaked and once he turn 30 his athletic ability will decline. He is a player who relies on that. Doesn't have the fundamentals like Duncan"-yeah well no one has fundamentals like Duncan, come on...
Guest (24 April 2014 - 05:07 PM) I know it's a slim chance and there's much to enjoy now.
Guest (24 April 2014 - 04:21 PM) My dream free agent, Durant.
Guest (24 April 2014 - 03:51 PM) These growing pains are harder than I thought they would be. Hopefully Harden and Howard stick together and come out better next game and next year.
Guest (24 April 2014 - 05:46 AM) Looking back maybe they peaked too early, bought into the hype and then the injuries didn't help.
Guest (24 April 2014 - 05:09 AM) I agree, this is the most disappointed in Harden and this team I've been since he arrived. I hope they don't splinter. It's time for them to toughen up and close ranks whether they win or lose this series.
Guest (24 April 2014 - 04:58 AM) Aldridge didn't play like this in the regular season. He is on a mission and Portland looks Conference Finals bound.
Guest (24 April 2014 - 04:56 AM) Harden seems like he is going to learn the hard way. He is going to get schooled a couple years in the post season before he gets it.
Guest (24 April 2014 - 04:47 AM) I just think it's more complicated than one person being a scapegoat, seems too simplistic.
Guest (24 April 2014 - 04:46 AM) I agree McHale is getting out coached but it's part of a bigger problem. In my mind I imagine Morey brought in a coach to implement his vision which is getting exposed in the post season. Morey needs a defensive minded coach and it's time for a defensive culture to develop. Maybe McHale's time is up.
Guest (24 April 2014 - 04:41 AM) The worst news is the perimeter shots are not going down. Rockets will be swept if those 3's don't go down.
Guest (24 April 2014 - 04:39 AM) The coaching staff should have made serious adjustments at half time and I didn't notice much. That is a failure by McHale and the coaches charged with defensive schemes.
Guest (21 April 2014 - 06:43 PM) Yesssssss! I just saw here as well rocketrick, rejoice! http://blog.chron.co...play-in-game-2/
Guest (21 April 2014 - 06:31 AM) Agreed, we just witnessed the Aldridge game. Great players swing games.
Guest (21 April 2014 - 06:03 AM) The Rockets seemed to regress to the team they were earlier in the season a little, I guess that was to be expected. I am looking for the team to bounce back of course.
Guest (21 April 2014 - 06:00 AM) This series will be marked by each team making runs and the Blazers made the run in the forth that completely changed the momentum.
Guest (21 April 2014 - 05:58 AM) McHale fired, get serious.
Guest (17 April 2014 - 12:45 PM) So yesterday during Truehoop TV Amin said the teams that win any season series 4 to 0 go on in the post season with a 51 and 4 record versus the losing team. Hmmmmmm...
Guest (10 April 2014 - 03:36 AM) Not a terribly important game. Those Vipers looked good.
Guest (05 April 2014 - 04:51 AM) Blazers lose!!!
Guest (05 April 2014 - 04:23 AM) Yesssssss! Harden dominates, team gets stops and the Rockets win! Parsons and Garcia did what they were supposed to do on Durant which has got to be nothing but good as they enter the playoffs, officially!
Guest (04 April 2014 - 07:17 PM) I couldn't edit my previous post, what I meant was once one were to take in all the probabilities that mathematically the Rockets chances of missing the playoffs are pretty much nil. Sorry you're a Dolphins fan, that's rough.
Guest (03 April 2014 - 04:11 PM) I try to not respond to comments that have zero substance but just in case people can't read Hollinger's Playoff Rankings, it's mathematically impossible to miss the playoffs.
Guest (02 April 2014 - 01:50 PM) In the Beverley topic I posted a radio interview he did about his injury. It wouldn't post here.
Guest (02 April 2014 - 10:59 AM) They lost to the Knicks at home prior to their win in Dallas. I can't stand the Warriors.
Guest (31 March 2014 - 03:34 AM) So good to see the Warriors lose at home. I despise that team and it's fans.
Guest (28 March 2014 - 02:22 PM) I think whether they win or lose more down the stretch the Blazers doubt in themselves has set in. It appears they lost the mental game versus the 82 game schedule.
Guest (21 March 2014 - 02:20 AM) Good to see Harden and company take care of business tonight while Dwight is out, solid win.
Guest (12 March 2014 - 04:24 AM) I totally overrated Hamilton after those first couple of games. He needs time to get settled.
Guest (10 March 2014 - 12:29 PM) I just want a win, I don't care about the statistics.
Guest (10 March 2014 - 02:37 AM) That is correct, both Thabo and Perkins will be out. The Thunder are suffering immensely on the defensive front.
Guest (10 March 2014 - 02:07 AM) Way to go Liiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnn!
Guest (08 March 2014 - 04:40 AM) And Dallas beat the Trailblazers! If the Rockets can win Sunday we can pull ahead of them!
Guest (08 March 2014 - 04:39 AM) Harden is truly leading the Rockets in a team effort tonight!
Guest (08 March 2014 - 03:43 AM) I never say this, I really want Dallas to win.
Guest (05 March 2014 - 06:34 PM) It's great to see the Lakers getting destroyed and Kobe get delusional in his old age. I have no sympathy for either.
Guest (04 March 2014 - 05:36 AM) Portland loses!!!
Guest (03 March 2014 - 02:47 PM) The 1993 series against Seattle was brutal, I remember being crushed.
Guest (03 March 2014 - 02:42 PM) I think some of the fans could use the experience of brutal loses in the playoffs as well rocketrick.
Guest (01 March 2014 - 12:37 AM) Agreed, if any 3 of those coaches could immediately plug them in and get anything g it would have been Pop. Guess I am relieved now that you remind me of that.
Guest (28 February 2014 - 08:57 PM) I think the verdict is still out, my guess is Butler contributes sporadically and I believe Granger is damaged goods, guess we'll see Alituro
Guest (28 February 2014 - 06:34 PM) Butler to Thunder and Granger to Clippers...
Guest (27 February 2014 - 06:17 AM) I think the Rockets looked good but just ran out of gas and then struggled to stay focused. Parsons needs to figure out when he needs to stop shooting some nights.
Guest (26 February 2014 - 05:35 AM) You lost me SadLaker, of all the things to talk about and that is the tangent you go on, okaaaayyyyy.
Guest (26 February 2014 - 05:11 AM) That is a strange thing to say, McHale is on record recently saying he wants to rest Harden and Parsons. miketheodio you were right, we are getting a look at some 2nd unit combinations. Hamilton looks good and should provide competition.
Guest (26 February 2014 - 03:54 AM) Granger is damaged goods, his knees are no good.
Guest (26 February 2014 - 03:45 AM) James Harden on pace to score over 80 points. Harden is great.
Guest (26 February 2014 - 01:15 AM) I don't know about that miketheodio, I am pretty sure it will be a high scoring game right?
Guest (26 February 2014 - 12:12 AM) There is an argument for Fredette with more open looks in a Rockets offense but I don't think that sways my opinion, I don't see him as a Rocket.
Guest (21 February 2014 - 07:43 AM) Pretty great sequence by Harden to steal the ball while defending Lee, then making the step back to take the lead and then penetrating and making the pass to a cutting Parsons who unfortunately couldn't finish. The other players need to elevate their game and help Harden out, he can't do it alone.
Guest (21 February 2014 - 07:36 AM) Look it was an ugly game and credit to the Warriors for grinding it out but honestly I just wanted the Rockets in it and they were. The good guys took the season series 2 to 1 and I'll take that.
Guest (21 February 2014 - 07:34 AM) Buckko, just read the Shoutbox post before mine, come on. Sure, I am just addressing something out of thin air.
Guest (21 February 2014 - 07:14 AM) If Parsons can't dunk over a 35 year old O'Neal in crunch time he is not a star. Let's not forget he took 24 shots and shot 33% which will rarely result in a Rockets win. He is not a star.
Guest (20 February 2014 - 07:02 PM) Curious to get a look at Hamilton after he gets integrated, good luck to AB!
Guest (17 February 2014 - 05:23 AM) The post All Star Game questions for Dwight were boring and repetitive but the ones for Harden were bad.
Guest (13 February 2014 - 04:10 PM) I'd rather the Rockets face the Clippers in the second round than the Thunder but either way it's going to be a 'pay your dues' postseason for the good guys.
Guest (13 February 2014 - 04:09 PM) i don't think the Clippers are just heating but rather they enemy number 2 for the Rockets. The Clippers have an established core that has been through brutal playoff tests and this year they will be better. Their problem is they cannot win out against the Thunder in the postseason.
Guest (13 February 2014 - 06:23 AM) I know they lost to the Clippers I was watching the game.
Guest (13 February 2014 - 06:08 AM) Blazers lose, yesssss!
Guest (10 February 2014 - 04:32 AM) The Clippers are destroying the Sixers. Wow.
Guest (08 February 2014 - 03:05 AM) OKC,Phoenix and now Portland loses, yes!
Guest (08 February 2014 - 03:00 AM) Anybody watching the Pacers game? How about that last George shot? I see nothing wrong with that.
Guest (04 February 2014 - 05:47 AM) I second all that Drew, it's almost like a Rocket win tonight, too bad the Spurs won.
Guest (02 February 2014 - 03:36 PM) Brent I think it's a natural progression. Harden had sacrificed as a bench player for years, then last year was thrust into the spotlight and put the team on his shoulders. This year Howard is here and Lin, Jones and others have made great improvements so now Harden is learning once again to lead on the court, he is win share leader because he wins. Patience with Harden.
Guest (31 January 2014 - 03:34 PM) Via Rockets facebook page: We know you have questions for Dwight Howard and today is the day to ask the man himself. He'll be taking over our Twitter account today at approximately 2pm CST. Tweet your questions using ‪#‎AskDH‬ & follow @HoustonRockets to see his responses.
Guest (30 January 2014 - 04:29 AM) Last night the Spurs, tonight the Mavs, how sweet it is! Yessss!
Guest (29 January 2014 - 06:03 AM) I'm so glad Golden State lost. That team is do overhyped, even guys like Lowe and Rose hype them, hilarious.
Guest (29 January 2014 - 05:24 AM) I agree thenit, the remnants of their talent combined with their system still allows them to win against most teams but they cannot compete against elite talent for much longer.
Guest (29 January 2014 - 05:20 AM) I think so rocketrick, plus Leonard just didn't make that jump. I think that Finals battle they had with the Heat was the end of an era in San Antonio.
Guest (29 January 2014 - 04:39 AM) I agree Rudy. They don't compliment each other but when Harden is out Lin can fill in that role to some extent.
Guest (29 January 2014 - 02:28 AM) (You're always in it thenit, just stay with the game plan.)
Guest (29 January 2014 - 02:27 AM) Beverley! Swinging the momentum!
Guest (29 January 2014 - 02:00 AM) Bev is on Tony now, maybe just giving him different looks.
Guest (28 January 2014 - 11:22 PM) You never know we could beat the Spurs and Mavs then follow up with a loss to the Cavs.
Guest (28 January 2014 - 11:13 PM) I know thanks Sam, Feigan reported it a couple hours ago I believe.
Guest (28 January 2014 - 11:07 PM) Guess we will get a look at Rockets versus Spurs without James Harden. I am curious who steps up offensively and if they can win with stops.
Guest (28 January 2014 - 05:56 AM) I meant to write: The Rockets two best players have just joined...
Guest (28 January 2014 - 05:54 AM) We can't best the Thunder because they have chemistry and a system the players as well as the entire organization believes in. The have just joined their two best players about half a season ago. The Rockets are the 4th youngest team. Give it time, and not like next month.
Guest (25 January 2014 - 06:29 PM) You get the fans complaining about Harden taking over at the end and last night McHale gives Parsons the nod and you get more complaining, I guess I should expect that.
Guest (25 January 2014 - 06:35 AM) Considering the lack of Rockets frontcourt depth and how Memphis dictated the style its a testament to Parsons, McHale and the rest of the players and coaches it was a one possession game.
Guest (23 January 2014 - 04:50 AM) Taking care of business tonight, nice one Rockets.
Guest (21 January 2014 - 03:32 AM) It sure is good to have Beverley back, good team win!
Guest (17 January 2014 - 08:00 PM) Mike and Seth on 610AM just mentioned Justin Wehr's graph comparing Harden favorably to other greats.
Guest (17 January 2014 - 02:35 PM) I agree Drew. Years ago when I was more emotionally invested this loss would have devastated me. Really this is just part of them paying their dues, I agree with rocketrick in that it will strengthen them. The mention if Asik was not an excuse just a logical thing to mention considering how physical the second half was, Dwight was all alone down low.
Guest (17 January 2014 - 05:23 AM) Perhaps Harden should have shot more to find his shot in the second half, to get it going. The Rockets sure could use a committed Asik, it's a shame what he did to this team.
Guest (17 January 2014 - 05:20 AM) I agree, it's crazy. Seventy three in the first half and 19 in the second half.
Guest (17 January 2014 - 05:14 AM) Not entirely unexpected, this is a young team searching for an identity facing a team with a system in place. This won't happen next year.
Guest (17 January 2014 - 03:32 AM) Sure is good to see Harden being himself and making those good passes that are leading to good shots for his teammates.
Guest (16 January 2014 - 07:59 PM) I agree rocketrick, it always seems strange how quick many fans are to complain. I guess I have been watching to long to have much to complain about right now plus it's not my style. Each unto their own.
Guest (11 January 2014 - 04:06 AM) It sometimes crosses my mind that maybe if the Rockers picked up a scrappy old head like Andre Miller it would be such a bad thing considering the teams limitations.
Guest (11 January 2014 - 03:25 AM) When Parsons, Asik and Beverly are out the bench will suffer. The first and second units haven't had a chance to build chemistry.
Guest (11 January 2014 - 03:17 AM) Hopefully the Brewer experiment is over, in fact they should probably release him.
Guest (11 January 2014 - 03:10 AM) Stepping on the line, a huge mistake.
Guest (08 January 2014 - 03:03 AM) Dunleavy would be a great pick up and a good guy from the locker room to the 3 point line.
Guest (03 January 2014 - 04:31 AM) Right, Jenny Dial Creech reported the Rockets had a much longer practice and also practiced 5 on 5 for one of the first times since the season started. http://blog.chron.co...ice-12-players/
Guest (30 December 2013 - 09:24 PM) ...
Guest (26 December 2013 - 03:29 AM) Lin was great, Dwight did his thing and Harden took over. Go Rockets!
Guest (19 December 2013 - 09:15 PM) Kobe down again. http://espn.go.com/l...ks-injured-knee
Guest (14 December 2013 - 05:12 AM) Jones green, he's still just a baby. Next year he will be a bonafide starter.
Guest (14 December 2013 - 04:13 AM) Harden throw down!!!
Guest (13 December 2013 - 06:39 AM) I think maybe Rudy thinks all the Lin chatter is funny.
Guest (13 December 2013 - 06:37 AM) They're not a finished product, it's a work in process.
Guest (13 December 2013 - 06:23 AM) We just split the two Portland games with the Blazers who are the hottest team. I think that's pretty good considering everything. I could care less about Lin and Beverley, not really a deciding factor. Jones got eaten alive though.
Guest (13 December 2013 - 06:00 AM) Harden and Howard need to take over.
Guest (05 December 2013 - 04:24 AM) Dwight did not get stopped, are you joking? They should have ran through him more but hindsight is 20/20. How many more games wil Harden go 0% from three point land?
Guest (04 December 2013 - 01:20 PM) It's way too early for that kind of stuff. Way way too early.
Guest (01 December 2013 - 03:55 AM) Yes, Dallas and Memphis lost!
Guest (01 December 2013 - 03:53 AM) Wow, I'm shocked they held on. I am impressed with Harden and Jones. The Rockets have beat Portland and San Antonio, impressive.
Guest (01 December 2013 - 03:27 AM) The Spurs have a system that has been on place a decade. They make adjustments and plug in players and keep doing what they do. The Rockets are searching for a system and working out roles. It cannot be compared.
Guest (01 December 2013 - 03:24 AM) These and of instead of this and if in the post below.
Guest (01 December 2013 - 03:22 AM) This two teams cannot even be compared in terms if development and where they are on their respective timelines.
Guest (01 December 2013 - 03:19 AM) Well of course, that's the Spurs. I expected this.
Guest (01 December 2013 - 03:14 AM) Such a good game, I am going to be looking forward to Spurs games for a change now.
Guest (01 December 2013 - 02:57 AM) So good to be a Rockets fan right now, watching Harden and Howard going to work.
Guest (01 December 2013 - 02:42 AM) I don't really have a problem with ball movement or Dwight posting up, the problem was poor defense on Parker and poor transition defense.
Guest (01 December 2013 - 02:34 AM) Kevin McHale is great, I don't care if he gets fined.
Guest (01 December 2013 - 02:23 AM) So good to see the Rockets destroying the Spurs.
Guest (26 November 2013 - 04:54 AM) Yessss! Dallas lost again!
Guest (24 November 2013 - 04:34 AM) Yessss! Denver beats Dallas!
Guest (21 November 2013 - 10:02 PM) Agreed, nothing wrong with yelling.
Guest (21 November 2013 - 09:31 PM) I can imagine him playing for Pop, he would be ripping into him.
Guest (21 November 2013 - 09:29 PM) Please, we can do without the Lin coddling. Lin can earn his respect just like everyone else.
Guest (17 November 2013 - 02:57 AM) Nice baseline move by Howard, that was from the Olajuwon School of moves.
Guest (17 November 2013 - 01:28 AM) Rockets looking good so far.
Guest (15 November 2013 - 11:13 PM) McHale is about to go on 790 AM for an interview if you're in the Houston area. You could probably stream from website or I Heart Radio.
Guest (15 November 2013 - 01:37 PM) Just goes to show fans have little to no idea of what's going on on the court. Maybe McHale also gives players leeway in those situations to make their own choices despite his opinions.
Guest (15 November 2013 - 01:34 PM) Just goes to show fans little to no idea what's going on the court
Guest (14 November 2013 - 01:37 AM) Lin is taking over this game!
Guest (10 November 2013 - 02:13 AM) Agreed on Beverley.
Guest (08 November 2013 - 05:47 AM) Generally the Rockets defense looked good in the second half. The challenge looks like putting a full four quarters together.
Guest (04 November 2013 - 04:00 AM) It's crazy that Westbrook is back already.
Guest (04 November 2013 - 03:59 AM) Miami were not only hungry during their 27 game win streak but they were about 2 1/2 years into building chemistry that perhaps was peaking at that point, only time will tell.
Guest (03 November 2013 - 01:18 AM) Poor start to this Jazz game.
Guest (30 October 2013 - 08:59 PM) Who all is going to the game? I know blakecouey is and I am certain rocketrick is too.
Guest (30 October 2013 - 08:58 PM) Now is Doc's chance to show if he can build a defense without Thibadoux. Simmons was talking about the GS bandwagon but the Clipper bandwagon is rolling too. I agree that the biggest factor might have been the Laker three point shooting. Any team that hot from 3 is hard to beat.
Guest (14 October 2013 - 09:09 PM) I agree Brent, he has been able to get past the outside noise pressure and refocus himself so hopefully he is better. I just could never see him as an All-Star and am addressing the comments below as to what would surprise me from Lin.
Guest (14 October 2013 - 07:48 PM) It would not be surprising if Lin is productive, Dwight will make everyone better. What would be really surprising though is if Lin was ever a bonafide All-Star. That would be shocking.
Guest (13 October 2013 - 07:00 AM) Lin sounds like he is doing well tonight which is great news but he isn't anything like Dennis Johnson.
Guest (03 October 2013 - 06:17 PM) Right Drewin, by all accounts Howard is a monster free throw shooter when not in a game setting and hopefully being more comfortable in Houston helps by putting him at ease during game situations.
Guest (27 September 2013 - 05:08 PM) Rockets ranked #6 in Stein's Training Camp edition of NBA Power Rankings. http://espn.go.com/n...ar/2014/week/-1
Guest (21 September 2013 - 04:15 PM) Really just not much going on is there?
Guest (18 August 2013 - 04:23 PM) I think you're on to something timetodie but I wouldn't say he is uncomfortable speaking, we just gleam more insight from what he writes.
Guest (07 August 2013 - 03:57 AM) Any thoughts on the opener being against Charlotte?
Guest (02 August 2013 - 06:01 AM) Sounds like a slow time of the year debate miketheodio.
Guest (02 August 2013 - 05:21 AM) Totally slow time. This is the time of year that I really listen to a lot of NPR instead of sports radio and NBA podcasts.
Guest (23 July 2013 - 06:14 PM) Tad Brown on 790AM right now, will be on till 2 PM I believe.
Guest (06 July 2013 - 05:25 PM) That is a solid move, well done Morey.
Guest (05 July 2013 - 08:51 PM) I still think the Rockets are the front runners in this and Golden State is making some last minute attempts to convert him or maybe he has decided on the Rockets and is giving Golden State one last chance.
Guest (18 May 2013 - 01:01 AM) I had no problem this evening.
Guest (07 May 2013 - 01:09 PM) That is a good sign when other organizations cherry pick your staff. I think the culture and system that the Rockets have put in place and begun to develop in the end will be far more important than any coach.
Guest (07 May 2013 - 02:08 AM) You got a right to your opinion but seems like Morey is the brains to me, thought that was obvious with the offensive scheme and all that. Rockets coaching is about leadership at this point which McHale possesses in spades.
Guest (07 May 2013 - 01:52 AM) Of course he stays, what do you mean by that question? It is a strange question since what assistants do would never effect a head coach that way.
Guest (04 May 2013 - 06:28 AM) Whatever comes the next few seasons (barring injuries) it will be hard to match the unadulterated excitement we had watching these young Rockets this past year, it was definitely some kind of roller coaster ride...
Guest (04 May 2013 - 04:24 AM) Y'all are pretty funny.
Guest (04 May 2013 - 04:21 AM) Great season, great little playoff ride, thank god we got Harden and go Rockets, looking forward to next year!
Guest (04 May 2013 - 03:57 AM) Get that line up out!
Guest (02 May 2013 - 04:23 AM) Rockets! Rockets! Rockets!
Guest (02 May 2013 - 03:49 AM) I think they were good as well with Asik out there, plus they are facing the same opponent for the fifth time in a row and learning their tendencies plus they got a little rest with more days off between games.
Guest (01 May 2013 - 08:41 PM) Harden flu like symptoms, wonder how that is going to turn out?
Guest (25 April 2013 - 02:03 AM) Harden on Ibaka, that was some ballsy strategy and good to see the captain take the challenge.
Guest (25 April 2013 - 02:01 AM) Damn I hope they can do that back at Toyota Center where the three's will fall...
Guest (25 April 2013 - 01:56 AM) What happened? How did we get it close?
Guest (25 April 2013 - 01:56 AM) Had to work tonight and didn't see the score till the last couple of minutes! Looked like a good one!
Guest (23 April 2013 - 05:31 AM) Chris Paul is amazing...
Guest (22 April 2013 - 01:25 PM) Agreed that slumping from 3 us coming at the worst time, one main cause is tired legs which is a by product of the 82 game season.
Guest (22 April 2013 - 03:47 AM) Lin pretty much failed to impact this game in any way and that means we will have no chance if he is the starter. Maybe Beverley needs to start.
Guest (22 April 2013 - 02:51 AM) That last game we beat the Thunder when Ibaka was on Harden at the end of the game he pretty much made him fall down on that step back three if my memory serves me right.
Guest (19 April 2013 - 04:55 PM) There should be quite a few missed opportunities the next couple of years like that one 2016Champions. Hopefully these players that form the long term core learn from it.
Guest (18 April 2013 - 01:06 PM) If you are in Houston right now Morey is on 790am right now.
Guest (18 April 2013 - 01:05 PM) If you are in Houston Daryl Morey is on 790am right now.
Guest (18 April 2013 - 05:24 AM) JVG ain't coming back, seriously?
Guest (18 April 2013 - 05:22 AM) OKC here we come.
Guest (18 April 2013 - 05:13 AM) Next year Harden get's that call.
Guest (18 April 2013 - 05:07 AM) Harden is the offense
Guest (18 April 2013 - 05:05 AM) Yessssssssss!
Guest (18 April 2013 - 05:05 AM) !!!!
Guest (18 April 2013 - 05:02 AM) Lin would have been better off not shooting that brick
Guest (18 April 2013 - 05:00 AM) naw, that Harden 3 looked good...
Guest (18 April 2013 - 04:59 AM) that was some cold blooded defense by Smith!
Guest (18 April 2013 - 04:52 AM) funny Ostrow, real funny
Guest (18 April 2013 - 04:52 AM) that was Harden on the other wing right, Parsons should have got it to him
Guest (17 April 2013 - 03:41 PM) Joey Crawford is not officiating so that's one plus.
Guest (17 April 2013 - 04:01 AM) Of course, he technically advanced in 2009, I am pretty sure we all know that but this time he will be on the court to actually participate in advancing through the playoffs.
Guest (16 April 2013 - 10:24 PM) I saw that Ostrow, I see it now, Tracy Mcgrady finally advances in the playoffs!, no wonder they let Jackson go...
Guest (12 April 2013 - 02:23 AM) I am just glad McHale is our coach, will be next year and hopefully beyond that.
Guest (12 April 2013 - 02:22 AM) I am not really hear to justify why I like McHale's background and if some believe McHale has not contributed to improvement among the frontline players or that they have even improved well that is an opinion one could have. I am definitely of the opinion that McHale has contributed, as have other coaches, to most of our bigs improving over the course of the season.
Guest (11 April 2013 - 10:29 PM) Kevin McHale is doing an interview on 790. Every time I hear him I like him even more.
Guest (10 April 2013 - 03:19 AM) Yesssssssssss!!!!!!
Guest (05 April 2013 - 03:30 AM) Gallinari (knee) injury alert http://espn.go.com/n...i-injuring-knee
Guest (01 April 2013 - 02:57 PM) Correction: only imagine the revolt
Guest (01 April 2013 - 02:56 PM) Though I believe Lin could thrive as a sixth man I can only the revolt that would ensue if Beverley began starting. It would be unbearable what Lin fans would be saying.
Guest (31 March 2013 - 03:08 AM) Completely agree with you 2016, Beverley was a find and together with Lin are a pretty good two headed monster that will only get better.
Guest (31 March 2013 - 02:38 AM) Of course the Rockets win the two games I thought they would lose and lose the two I thought they would win in these last 4 games.
Guest (30 March 2013 - 09:31 PM) The Rocket I like the most is Harden and no one else comes even close. As far as Rocket I dislike well I just don't see the point in all that. As far as McHale I hope he is here for at least the duration of his contract. I definitely like him as a coach as he balances all out the Dork Elvis and the nerdy stat team.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:40 AM) I am a fan but rarely feel the need to complain but I guess there are all kinds of fans. We are all still fans.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:37 AM) It takes all kinds.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:35 AM) Very true.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:33 AM) Lin and Asik have a couple good plays already.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:33 AM) Whatever they know that we don't and whatever happened in the locker room sorted itself out.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:32 AM) If he goes back to the starters well some fans will complain about that.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:31 AM) You know if he get McHale starts the bench guys then fans complain he has given up on Lin etc.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:28 AM) Creative coaching?
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:21 AM) Or finds a way to effect the game besides scoring.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:19 AM) Sure, but Harden is Harden, you ride superstars pretty much always.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:16 AM) I think you stay with Asik but Smith and Lin should be the first off the bench.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:07 AM) I hope Thomas Robinson starts the third too.
Guest (28 March 2013 - 01:05 AM) I hope Beverly starts the third.
Guest (25 March 2013 - 02:38 AM) No way to seriously know.
Guest (25 March 2013 - 02:38 AM) Maybe McHale just knew he was going with Delfino in the fourth so it wouldn't matter how many fouls Donatus got.
Guest (25 March 2013 - 02:35 AM) If we play the Spurs in the playoffs get used to the fact that we will a lot of fouls called on Rockets players for no good reason.
Guest (25 March 2013 - 01:28 AM) Rockets win!!!!!
Guest (04 March 2013 - 01:46 AM) The Rockets are destroying the Mavs, yes!
Guest (03 March 2013 - 09:38 PM) I was as well. Now I am watching OKC and LAC.
Guest (03 March 2013 - 04:37 PM) That a poor kid from the ghetto in Dallas is on the world stage because of he a couple days he spent with a leader of a country is amazing.
Guest (03 March 2013 - 04:21 PM) Dennis Rodman is still insane and amazing.
