I don't know how we can't get any love as well. I think McGrady and Yao were injured so much that the media automatically dismisses us from any conversion because they knew for sure that our main stars would be injured. It has happened the past three years so ESPN expects it which equals to no air time whatsoever. I am tired of the what-ifs as well, but I still have faith that something good will happen and we can stay healthy at the most important time of the season..playoff time. I like my position as a Rockets fan rather than being a Cavaliers fan because the question of "what if" would send them into a frenzy of trying to destroy Cleveland.

Kevin: The one national televised game we had was added halfway through the season, and we didn’t even get the Van Gundy, Jackson, Breen crew.It really is strange how a team in a city as large as Houston gets no love.The Bulls get love no matter how bad they are.We are always very unlucky.If we don’t get Bosh I kind of hope Yao gets hurt, so we can just let him go and end an era of injury and failure.I’ve said it here before, but I wish we could at least be like the Hawks and be eliminated in the 2nd round 100% healthy.I am so tired of asking “what if.”

Terry: I believe that something good has to happen to the Rockets, whether it is health or getting Bosh and staying healthy. We are always the franchise that gets shit on because of the bias reporting that goes on with ESPN and just last year, we had one nationally televised game when I thing the clippers had more that we did. That one element that we need never wants to play for us…. Surely, Morey tries to get them here, but they are always reluctant to play for us. I think deep down inside, no one wants Bosh to join Houston because they are afraid of what monsters they could be in the West if they stayed healthy and Yao returns to some kind of form. If this deal happens, look for them to hope that Yao goes down again.

How much leverage does Colangelo have in the S&T scenario? He has a say and would like to get the most talent back. It would come down to the highest bidder in terms the talents that the Raptors think they need. They don’t need PG with Calderon and Jack so Brooks and Lowery are safe. They do need 4 to replace Bosh. I doubt they could package the ‘turks’ contract however much they would like to do it. Doing so would mean Colangelo has to admit to a mistake. As mentioned Rockets do have some serviceable ‘cheap asset’ in Budinger and Taylor in the event a bidding war does take place (Colangelo’sonly leverage). But Colangelo’s leverage is diminished by what Bosh would agree to. Laker’s Bynum is not a good alternative with him being hurt though it would make sense if he was healthy.
S&T is like a manage a’trois… Gotta get in bed with Toronto to get the deal done.
With amar’e going to the knicks I’d think the value of the picks go down a bit. They may not be as attractive as before. I see 1 of the pick (2011 swap) but not the 2012 as being part of the trade. The brilliance here is Morey’s foresight in positioning the team for this. I think this is a done deal barring some idealistic fantasy by one of the big 3 willing to pull a Karl Malone. Money matters for Wade and Bosh. It doesn’t matter as much for Lebron but the free agent season is about getting paid. Championship teams can always be built during the season by demanding trades. rahat huq: Kevin, That’s the thing that’s so beautiful about how this is playing out – the way they arrogantly just assumed everyone would want to come just because it was New York.I also love the report that part of their pitch to Lebron was that they would try to get Carmelo next summer with the $12million they’ll have under the cap.Right…no one wants to come for 15, but melo will come for 12.Terry, i think they’ll find a taker for deng but i’m eternally pessimistic

Kevin, That's the thing that's so beautiful about how this is playing out - the way they arrogantly just assumed everyone would want to come just because it was New York. I also love the report that part of their pitch to Lebron was that they would try to get Carmelo next summer with the $12million they'll have under the cap. Right...no one wants to come for 15, but melo will come for 12. Terry, i think they'll find a taker for deng but i'm eternally pessimistic

It seems like no one wants Deng’s contract, especially not the Raptors and I hope I am right. I don’t think anyone in the East would help Chicago out so they can possibly dominate the East. In the West, no one wants to gamble with a four year horrible contract with the new CBA looming soon. We are looking pretty good at the moment; however, it all hinges on Bosh and his jock fantasy of riding the coat tails of Lebron or Wade. He may go for less to become second (or third fiddle with DRose there), who knows…but he would contradict everything he says about wanting to be the man and getting the max contract. Then we all know for sure that he is no “superstar”.

I think the Knicks are getting what they deserve. Such arrogance. For years they’ve tried to calm down the fan base after all these horrible decisions by telling them James is coming (the preparations for that made them even worse), and now at best they will be the ‘04 Suns without Steve Nash.
