I think the rockets should keep the team they have right now were young and real talented we can really make some noise with the team we have now ;we can be the surprise team in the west kind of like those Detroit piston s back in 04 they surprised everybody for dominating the Laker s that once was the best team in the nba in that era with shaq still at his dominance but yet having a great nucleus destroyed the Lakers and Detroit was victorious with a NBA crown... and that can be the rockets if they stick with what they have now we have something special I hope they see that.....
..

The news on the ESPN rumor wire suggests that the Rockets have a good shot at getting Melo and keeping Martin. New Jersey says its not dealing Favors for Melo, in which case the only thing they can offer is salary relief and draft picks. New York has nothing to offer, and Chicago is leery of trading away Noah. We can offer cap relief, draft picks, and some promising young talent as well. We can see how the Martin-Melo combo works, and then move accordingly. We may not be at the top of Melo's list, but right now we are "acceptable," and that may be good enough.

Really don't get the Kevin Martin love.
So he's mastered the art of getting fouled while shooting and then makes his FTS. Wow!
Martin doesn't rebound-but he's efficient!
Martin doesn't pass-but he's so efficient!
Martin doesn't play defense-but he's super efficient!
Kevin Martin isn't injury prone-he just keeps having freak accidents.
A .500 Rockets team added Martin,and stayed a .500 team-now that's an elite player making an impact.
Martin is a Rocket because he told Sac he wanted to be traded-which proves Martin is a more loyal teammate than Anthony.

If Denver wanted Martin,I'd do it in a heartbeat, but like many here I have serious doubts about Anthony wanting to come to Houston.
re- the first bullet- I don't really understand keeping Martin AND chasing 'Melo. I am a huge Martin fan, but I don't see how our lineup can survive Scola / Melo / Martin / Brooks -- seems like way too many hands trying to score with way too few basketballs, and more importantly, providing little to no defense. If we're so committed to getting 'melo, seems like Martin should be available; if we're committed to keeping Martin, seems like the PG and SF positions are better bets (Hello Iguodala (sp?), hello Paul).
