Hey everyone – thanks for the warm welcomes! I'm excited to be here.

Ty185 – The efficiency stat is a pretty rough statistic the NBA uses that condenses a player's stats into one number. The basic idea is that it adds all of the player's negative stats and subtracts it from from all his positive stats. Again, it's pretty rough, but the bottom line is clear: as much as we love the Brooks/Lowry combo, a player like cp3 could definitely change our entire team.

Here's the formula. ((Points + Rebounds + Assists + Steals + Blocks) – ((Field Goals Att. – Field Goals Made) + (Free Throws Att. – Free Throws Made) + Turnovers))

Love the idea of Rockets Daily! I look forward to stopping here first every morning.

on another topic, I love our team. Not just bc I am a Rockets fan, but bc we are now set at every position. We have a great starting lineup, and some of the best second team players in the NBA. If Yao is healthy I know we can compete with the Fakers. We were so close 2 years ago, until Yao went down. Now we have better role players and no one to ruin team chemistry. Our younger players have more experience w/ more confidence. We have new additions, Brad Miller and Patrick Patterson, that will help on both ends of the court. All of the players have "bought" in to Coach Adelmans system. Yao is a prideful man and I have a feeling that he will come back ready to dominate.

Go Rockets. Oh and Royce, welcome, get used to seeing my name.
