According to a Reuters\/Ipsos poll released on July 2, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are nearly tied in voter preference. Harris holds 42% of the vote, while Trump is slightly ahead with 43%. Harris’s progressive stance, coupled with her African American and Asian heritage, may give her an edge in mobilizing the 6% of abstaining voters and the 2% who remain undecided.<\/p>\n

Another Ipsos poll from July 16 showed Biden trailing Trump with 41% to Trump’s 43%.
