As the 2024-25 NBA season approaches, Nikola Jokic has returned to the public eye, albeit reluctantly, and has already shared some disappointing news.<\/p>\n

At the Denver Nuggets\u2019 media day, Jokic appeared with a notably thick goatee. When questioned about whether he intended to keep the facial hair to potentially unnerve his rivals, he quickly rejected that notion, stating, “It’s probably going away pretty soon.”<\/p>\n

However, Jokic did admit that he was enjoying the positive reactions his new look was garnering.<\/p>\n

Sadly, it seems we won’t be able to call him \u2018Evil Jokic\u2019 for much longer.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old basketball star is coming off a spectacular season where he clinched his third MVP title and was selected as a first-team All-NBA player for the fourth time. Over the season, Jokic averaged 28.7 points, 13.4 rebounds, and 8.7 assists per game. Although the Nuggets were ousted in the second round of the 2024 playoffs by the Minnesota Timberwolves and didn\u2019t repeat as champions, they are still seen as contenders for the upcoming championship.<\/p>\n

Over the summer, Jokic played for the Serbian national team, helping them secure a bronze medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics. In a nail-biting semifinal, they narrowly lost to Team USA with a score of 95-91, after failing to maintain a 17-point lead. Jokic\u2019s performance was outstanding, averaging 18.8 points, leading the tournament with 10.7 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game, and he was also tied for the most steals (2.0 per game). His efforts earned him a spot in the FIBA All-Star Five, alongside basketball greats like Stephen Curry, Dennis Schroder, LeBron James, and Victor Wembanyama.<\/p>\n

Even if he decides to shave off the goatee, Jokic is set for another standout season.<\/p>\n
