It’s quite unusual seeing Thompson in a different jersey, especially after his significant contribution to the Warriors’ success in securing four NBA championships. Golden State drafted him 11th overall in the 2011 NBA draft. During his tenure, he earned five All-Star selections and, together with Steph Curry, formed the iconic “Splash Brothers” duo. The thought of them not playing together seems almost unimaginable.<\/p>\n

In the 2023-24 season, Thompson managed averages of 17.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists over 29.7 minutes per game, shooting 38.7% from beyond the arc, marking one of his lower three-point shooting seasons.<\/p>\n

He has joined a Mavericks squad that made it to the 2024 NBA Finals but fell short, losing to the Boston Celtics in five games. The addition of Thompson is seen as a key move to potentially propel Dallas to championship success.<\/p>\n
