Derrick White has recently entered the podcast scene. At 31, the seasoned NBA player introduced his podcast, White Noise<\/em>, this week, offering basketball enthusiasts a closer look at an NBA player’s experiences.<\/p>\n

Without delay, White began sharing intriguing anecdotes from his time in the league, including when he was traded from the San Antonio Spurs to the Boston Celtics. He shared how Spurs coach Gregg Popovich delivered the news with his typical straightforwardness.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were in Atlanta,\u201d White recounted. \u201cPop comes in and just says, \u2018Hey, uh, you’ve been traded,\u2019 and stops right there.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

I asked, \u2018To where?\u2019 And he replied, \u2018We wouldn\u2019t do you dirty; you’re headed to Boston.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Following the news, White tried to remain nonchalant but ended up grabbing a bottle to mull over his future in the NBA. He humorously noted that he was slightly hungover when he first met his new teammates in Boston.<\/p>\n
