On a Friday in Las Vegas, the Charlotte Hornets faced off against the Utah Jazz in a Summer League matchup. Although the game didn’t draw the same level of excitement as the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks game the previous day, which marked the debut of Cooper Flagg, Hornets guard LaMelo Ball was there to lend some star power to the event.<\/p>\n

LaMelo Ball arrived after the game had started, but he quickly became the center of attention due to his strikingly bright pink outfit. He sat courtside, watching his team’s new recruits in action.<\/p>\n

Ball’s pink outfit, which included pants and a matching jacket, could have been part of a marketing move for a new line of shoes, yet it also raises questions about his choice of attire given the weather conditions.<\/p>\n

When Ball arrived at the arena around 4:30pm PDT, the temperature outside was soaring at approximately 109 degrees. The intense air conditioning inside the Thomas & Mack Center must have been working overtime to keep the indoor environment bearable for Ball’s bold fashion statement.<\/p>\n

Fashion often plays a significant role in the lives of professional athletes, but sometimes practicality must take precedence, especially in extreme weather.<\/p>\n
